    The Suns, Spurs and Blazers all gunning for the 8-seed, while the Grizzlies hold on for dear life. The 8/9 play-in game has been a great idea and is giving the bubble a bit of life. Can't believe Phoenix, you have to wonder if they had started a little better (and Ayton didn't test positive) they might be up in the 4/5 seed spot.

      @barbarian suns have been incredibly lucky in the bubble though, they've played so many depleted teams. Look at Philly today, they were without Simmons (season), Embiid, Horford and Harris.!!!

      Hard not to think the safe teams arent just jostling for opponents

        The commentators made that point last week when the Lakers and Clippers played. Provided the Clips get past their first round opponent finishing 2nd or 3rd makes no difference with no home court advantage, and both avoid the Lakers.

          @voodoo I laughed at this from Chris Vernon, a Grizzlies commentator...

              @Bovidae yeah, and plenty of speculation that the Clips wanted to lose to Portland the other day so they can get in the 8, given the match up issues they'd provide the Lakers.

              Perhaps a stretch, but who knows

                @voodoo Yeah same, he's a great listen.

                And Portland move into 8th with a win over Dallas. Dame is playing amazing at the moment.

                Phoenix vs Portland is the play-in we deserve, but Memphis/Spurs can both get in there if results go their way.

                      This 'feud' with Skip Bayless has pushed Dame to a new level. It works for Skip too - his viewers will go up tomorrow just to get his reaction.

                                @mariner4life I don't think he is sensitive. I think he's just real. What usually happens with Dame and whomever he's beefing with this week is they come at him. Media asks Dame what he thinks about the words exchanged between him and whomever he is beefing with. He doesn't do the boring, tried, and true thing where they play it down or give some cryptic answers. Where the reporter is sorry they asked.

                                He goes right at the questions and usually delivers a beautiful answer. Then if he gets called out on social media by said beefers, as he did this past week. He destroys them.

                                He's easily one of my current favourite players. It's just a shame that one of his targets this week is also a fav, Paul George.

                                    Was listening to the lowe post today him and Doris think the thunder might tank their last games to avoid fourth place as 5th means one of their draft picks stays a protected top twenty.
                                    Also said the jazz might try and avoid 5th to as the rockets would be there worst match up out of them and the nuggets.

                                          considering the best player in the league will probably cop a suspension for a headbutt. And his team, like the other #1 seed, haven't been able to get going

                                          and yet all we talk about is 8-10 in the West
