The Warriors have apparently singed the centre Aitken from the Dragons for 3 years. That's a fucking good signing, he's a bloody good player.
I'm less happy with the rumours Brown is trying to get Matt Lodge from Brisbane, and Jack de Balin from the dragons. Lodge is deadshit with an unsavoury streak who is lucky to be playing. He's also a penalty magnet who has been found out a bit by the rule changes.
de Belin isn't playing because of some very very serious charges. No doubt the bloke has talent, but not the kind of guy we should be signing.I gave the Titans a fair bit of credit above, but they could undo it all by signing Moses Mbye from the Tigers. The only thing that makes it okay is if the story is true, and the Tigers will continue to pay half of his salary.

Last night they played without Cam Smith and Cam Munster, and they hosed the Roosters. And played some brilliant football. I can't stand them, but it's only because they win, a lot, every fucking year. Bellamy is an incredible coach.
The Roosters were already hammered by injuries, and then they lost 3 to long term injuries last night. This is the only reason they won't win a three-peat, their squad is decimated now. Keary was the last straw.
Yeah I think the question marks on bellamys coaching are now being answered with Cronk and Slater gone and Smith nearly 40 ,
And I think the part of his coaching that gets overlooked is not just the match day stuff, its his development programs , never signs the big names , develops kids to play his way . As they lose players to other clubs , Its been a non stop conveyer belt of talent coming through.
i never had any doubts.
Those great players? who developed them? Who continues to develop young players year after year? Who takes offcasts from other clubs and turns them in to vital role players in premiership teams? He's been the best coach in the game for a decade and a half.
And they play good football too. They are a good team to watch. But, like the Patriots, like the Crusaders, like Auckland in the 80s/90s, you just hate watching the same team win every year!

Just posted this in the wrong thread....
Well well well, turned the Warriors on with 35 to go, theyâre down 16-6 to the best team in the comp....
And for the next 13 minutes Iâve watched them defend wave after wave of attack, and now score a very well put together try to make it 16-12
Itâs been an impressive 15 odd minutes...
Not saying theyâre gonna win the game, but shit they actually look like they want to be out there playing.

@Gunner the worst call of the night was that loose pass from Penrith close to the line that bounced forward, we grubbed kick it out and they ruled the pass was fine. Panthers get ball back.

Havenât watched much loige this year so donât have a big sample size, but the captains challenge is an awful concept.
That last one where the Panthers got the call, was technically correct when you slow the frames down as much as they do. But shit, that was a bad bad play by the Panthers, they had no one within cooee, and itâs a 7 tackle 20m restart to the Warriors 99 times out of 100... but for a super slow mo replay.
Hope rugby doesnât head down the same path.

I think it's stupid and it rewards teams for guessing correctly with more challenges.
I agree with @mariner4life, I'm proud of the effort they're putting in each week. Good not to be straight up hate watching them by this time of the year.

Any normal year I'd agree with the sentiment, but they've been putting a lot of effort in this year in somewhat trying conditions.

Itâs hard to know what weâre being penalised for when the referee doesnât signal for what the penalty was for and thereâs no replay. Every time we looked like weâd gotten some momentum or defused a dicey situation we were pinged.
Otherwise that was an effort to be proud of and itâs not the first time this season ive felt that way. I donât care if we lose when we play like that.
Pops got to go though. I gave him some love early in the season hoping heâd offer something when he came back into the team. Hasnât offered shit.
Jazz has to sort out that loose carry. Heâs a great player but he loses the ball at crucial stages too often.

Hard to say if itâs technique or just bad luck. I remember quite a few years ago Sione Lauaki had a problem losing the ball when he hit the ground after a tackle. He made a few adjustment to the way he held the ball and it made a big difference. Nonu was in the same boat too.
In league the âdark artsâ as a defender is getting arms and legs tangled up with ball carrier and with a bit of luck the ball carrier is âcarelessâ
