@Nepia You must have benefitted with the falling away of Te Aute College in terms of retaining players at HBHS that might otherwise have gone down there. Having said that Shane Hiha seems to be doing a good job getting Te Aute back on the upward turn, just needs to get that task completed and then he can start on the important rugby component of the job.

Yeah, but that coincided with Lindersfarne reinstating their chequebook scholarship programme.

It's a crap cheque book if you look at the other schools we would play at our quad. St kents and shots. Scots went from easy beats with Vito to national champs.

It's more the fact we are just a high calibre factory than anything else.

    🤣

I was told that next Saturday's game between Napier and Palmerston North is the televised game.

@Bovidae Yes, that's correct. The Polson Banner game is always televised. I hope Napier will win back the banner, but Palmy boys look strong this year.

Early exit for Napier's no. 8. Head knock or neck injury. He was down for a few minutes and looked totally out of it when he walked off the field, but at least he walked off the field.

His replacement is Lochi Mead, a year 12 student.

In the Napier v Rotorua game, Rotorua is the first to score a try. Try not converted.
    0 - 5 to RBHS after 15 minutes.

In the other game, Hastings Boys lead 3 - 0 after fifteen minutes. I have no line-up, but it was the fullback taking the kick. Eldius Oli?

Penalty goal Hastings. 6 - 7. Apparently, they just discovered that the NP try was converted. I didn't see it.

Now ill-discipline costing Napier. Three more points for Rotorua.

HT: Napier BHS 0 - 22 Rotorua BHS

HT: Hastings Boys 6 - 7 NP BHS

NP has scored an intercept try. They're a bit slow at updating the scores. It's 6 - 14 NP BHS

Try to Napier! Carlos Kemp converts. It's still 10 - 22 to Rotorua though.

It's annoying that two different apps give different scores and you've seen them both make mistakes, but can't figure out what the right score is anymore.
