@Stockcar86 I remain ever hopeful. Remember they only snuck home by about eight or nine points whilst playing at home in the first round a couple a weeks ago.

Hastings and Taradale have the two best forward packs and Hastings' proved superior when they met.

I think NOB Marist have the most ability in attack.

But yes @Stockcar86 I think Hastings RS are looking good.

They are looking at playing both semi-finals on McLean Park, and will be streamed.

I'm hopeful the one gutsy Hastings team can fight of all you big spending Ta$man like Napier teams. 😉

    Premiers - semi-finals on Saturday:

    1.30pm: Taradale v NOBM
    3.30pm: Hastings v Tech

Above kick-off times and location confirmed: McLean Park.

By the way, these kick-off times are different from those on the official HB club rugby site (1.15pm and 3.00pm, respectively), but obviously that may still change. I'd check in at the earlier time, just to be sure not to miss the start of the games! I've often found the times on the official site to be more reliable than those posted on the HBRU's social media.

The games will again be livestreamed through Hawke's Bay App.

One of the Jack Swain Cup semis will also be played at McLean Park:

    11.30am: Maraenui vs HRS

There are extensive instructions for social distancing and other Level 2 requirements in this HBRU Facebook post:

In preparation for our 3 semi-finals taking place at McLean Park this weekend, here is some information around what we are putting in place, and what we expect from our fans coming to the Park this...

First time I see a line-up of Clive 3rds. Didn't know that Karl Lowe is still playing. Also his fellow Hastings Boys coach Tafai Ioasa, and Latrell Smiler-Ah Kiong's dad Herman Ah Kiong (a former HB 7s player).

Clive 3rds (1 - 22) to play Bridge Pa in the semi-final tomorrow:
    Orcades Crawford
    Lee Hakopa
    Charles Haronga
    Dylan Haronga
    Simon Christie
    Sven Hogenesch
    Ken Robinson
    Karl Lowe
    Rob Murray
    Luke Herrick
    Ben Trew
    Marty Lloyd
    Tafai Ioasa
    Herman Ah Kiong
    Ray Karauria
    Shane Shepherd *
    Ted Tautau *
    Nohorua Parata
    Kelvin Peck
    Dean Meuli
    Farrell Chrystal
    Dwayne Tautau
    Henare Waapu (on standby)
    Cameron Innes (on standby)

That team is stacked - is that the actual Orcades Crawford???? Add in Ray Karauria and there's at least 4 ex Magpies in that team.

I noticed Rangihuna playing 9 for Napier Tech does that means he’s lining up for the Bay in the ITM Cup?

@mikey07 And Folau Fakatava only makes the Hastings bench. This Connor McLeod must be some sort of decent halfback to keep his spot. Naturally I'm still expecting the Texans to win!

@mikey07 I think he's about 4th in the pecking order behind Weber, Fakatava and probably McLeod. So I assume he won't get a contract, unless McLeod is unlucky. Having seen Rangihuna play, last week, he doesn't deserve a contract, but that was just one game.

Entertaining game thus far. Interesting to see Patrick Teddy - while wearing the 3 jersey - throwing the line-outs for NOBM.

Only person on the park with bigger thighs is Ellery Wilson...

Shit, injury to Will Tremain. Hope it isn't too bad and spoils his Magpies chances.
