Most Dangerous Game
Liam Hemsworth as a guy diagnosed with a tumor, his business going down the gurgler his wife about ready to have a baby...
Ends up agreeing to take part in a 24hr hunt, where he is the prey. He gets $50k in the first hour, $100k in the 2nd, $150k in the 3rd and so on, with a bonus if he survives: a whole bunch of rules, including where every hour his location is given to the hunters.
Is 15 eps if 6min to 10min each, I really liked it. Simple premise, good tension.
I thought the ending was good too.

@taniwharugby sounds weird! What platform?
-
@Bones I didnt realise they were only short eps until I watched ep 1, and it skipped to 2 just when I was expecting an answer about something...so FFD it again, and it went to ep 2 and I saw the time on that was short too
I used alternative sources for this one.

Watched a few of these now. Don't mind the format
The Fugitive
Dummy
Die Hart -
@MiketheSnow ah didn't realise The Fugitive was in that format, had seen that and thought it could be good: Kiefer Sutherland I think?
-
Started "The Loudest Voice in the Room" which is Russell Crowe in a fat suit (i think) setting up Fox News. Its actually pretty bloody good, and in a boon for me, only 7 episodes.
Contains the best line i have heard in a TV show in ages
"people don't want to be informed, they want to feel informed"
fucken aye Russ
-
@mariner4life yeah it's a good series. How good is MacFarlane as a douche?

I’m a big fan of Russ appearing in movies and tv shows.
It means he doesn’t have time to subject us to his music.

When I lived in Sydney someone graffitied the promo posters and changed ‘grunt’ to ‘fluffybunny’. Juvenile humour at its finest

Nothing new, but well done with knowing nods.

Started Last Chance U S4 (i think) last night.
Man, what a change.
We've moved out of the South, and in to Oakland
We have a coach that isn't a complete asshole, who actually seems to know what he is doing, and seems to care more about the players than himself.
We have players that aren't selfish assholes. Players working jobs, attending school, and playing football, happy to be there. Not selfish, entitled assholes given everything they need, and focusing on nothing more than getting out as soon as possible.
Maybe that won't make it as interesting down the stretch.
Nearly finished this. It has made me realise a few things
My life has been extraordinarily easy
America is a fucked up Country with some incredibly strange values.
It is incredibly sad watching kids from fucked up backgrounds have a realisation that their only realistic chance of a decent life is football, and if something jeopardises that, like injury, you can see the devastation set in. -
Watched S1 of Animal Kingdom.
Good series, loved the way Josh played that, knew he was upto something.
Ellen Barkin not looking too good though
-
I am only 3 years behind, but i am watching the first series of The Sinner.
After 3 episodes it feels like the best TV show i have watched in ages. Through 3 episodes i have not looked at my phone once. And i find it very hard to turn off as i want to know what happens next.
Only small quibble is, why does every character have to be damaged and have a secret. Does the detective really need to be a bit weird?
Even when they are trying to make Jessica Biel look plain, she is still pretty fine.
I hope this doesn't go sideways

Blue Mountain State - anyone watched this?
Watched a couple of eps, expect it one of those shows that will be funny AF at times, and meh at others.
