The league has now cancelled all 3 games scheduled for today

No team takes a loss, I guess they aim for a reschedule but who knows?

NEW YORK– The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association today announced that in light of the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to not take the floor today for Game 5 against the Orlando Magic, today’s three games – Bucks vs. Magic, Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers - have been postponed. I was just reading an article on ESPN about PG. His on-court struggles have been related to off-court issues dealing with the NBA bubble.

The Jet walked off TNT as well. He was visibly cut up and I think angry.

I know he could have just decided to not come in at all but it was poignant and powerful to do it on air, IMO.

Others can trivialise BLM but these players clearly feel there is still a big problem in the US. Inside all of the confusion and the bandwagon jumpers there is a real message in there

Yes. As with many causes people jump on whose motives and goals may not be as pure as the original message

                    Others sports following suit.

2 MLB games postponed + MLS postponed.

He was pretty candid in his post game interview yesterday and said as much. Said he was in a dark place.

It was interesting to watch. I don’t think it was to bring attention to himself or anything like that, he was genuinely torn. I think he was former players association rep when he was a player.

Kenny Smith seems like a thoughtful guy. Hardly a hysterical person. And now many more US sports games across the NBA, WNBA, MLS and MLB have been postponed as the boycott widens

I know this is missing the point entirely, but it's not a boycott, it's a strike. The players are the "workers", not the consumers.

One of my favourite players back in the 1990s.

Clifford Robinson, an early star in UConn's rise to power who helped lead the Portland Trail Blazers to two NBA Finals, has died at the age of 53, the teams confirmed Saturday.

No cause of death was given, although former Huskies coach Jim Calhoun said Robinson had a stroke 2½ years ago and had went into a coma last week.

@Bovidae yeah I liked Robinson. Blazers and Suns he was a consistent scorer and a matchup problem when he came off the bench. Towards the end of his career he became a lockdown defender too. Would be in my top 10 all time second round draft steals.

                                          Ingram wins most improved.

Pretty cool that his parents got to announce it to him on a zoom conference.
