The Vampire Lovers. Hammer horror from 1970 - from a cinema era when men were real men , women were real women and lesbian vampires were real lesbian vampires. Surprising good (with lots of tasteful and well rounded nudity..).

4 extremely voluptuous Lucy Westenra's out of 5 Van Helsings'

    The Vampire Lovers (1970) ⭐ 6.4 | Horror

Always awkward perving at women from those flicks who you know are now as old or older than your mum

I think what would be more awkward would be comparing women to your mum.

    Or your Mum

OK, I'm in Day 2 of Hotel Quarantine, and I've sent the last hour trawling thorough this thread as far back as Jan-20 to pull out some of the family favs. I have this list.

    Dodgeball
    Princess Bride
    The Castle
    Groundhog Day
    LOTR
    Deadpool
    Point Break
    Back to the Future
    Happy Gilmore
    Stand By Me
    Goonies
    Tropic Thunder
    Remember the Titans
    Coach Carter
    Rudy
    Bohemian Rhapsody
    Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure
    Replacements
    Tropic Thunder
    Commando
    Predator
    Robocop
    Sixth Sense
    Crocodile Dundee
    Top Gun

Any egregious omissions or ones I should ditch?

Debbie does Dallas is a classic "I'm told".

I think @taniwharugby said it will get interesting at day 7.
So rom coms, anything with Hugh Grant after that? When the insanity is taking hold?

Hoping to stick to stuff the whole family can enjoy, the 7yr might be a year or 2 away from DDD?

I do actually like a but of HG now that you mention it, loveable cad that he is

@voodoo you might as well ditch the whole list if you plan to watch the never ending final Lord of the Rings movie.

There’s certainly far too much Adam Sandler there

I watched The Deer Hunter again the other night. I love the movie but had forgotten how long it was (~3 h). Trimming about 30 mins off some scenes like the wedding would have made it so much better.

Anyway, John Cazale was dying of cancer during filming and passed away before the film was released. He only appeared in 5 full length movies:

    The Godfather (1972)
    The Conversation (1974)
    The Godfather: Part II (1974)
    Dog Day Afternoon (1975)
    The Deer Hunter (1978)

    That's some resume.

Gotta love the Fern - post a serious question and the first 4 responses are as useful as tits on a bull - love this place! :face_with_stuck-out_tongue:

Thanks @canefan , good suggestions - need to think about the rapist/pedo in ConAir, cant remember how in-your-face those scenes were - and the groupie midget sex scenes in Zolander, though I think those would be fine from memory

Steve Buschemi was the pedo. He was OK I think, creepy song aside at the tea party, the other was the caged guy at the front of the plane who wanted to (and almost did) rape the female guard!

@voodoo Some of those movies have not aged very well (e.g., Crocodile Dundee).

How about Romancing the Stone/The Jewel of the Nile?
