All so good. Watched T1-3 with the boys over the last 3 days. Really no need for T3, but the other 2 are great.
I'd have Total Recall as my fav of the "serious" ones, and don't sleep on True Lies in the comedy category.
Red Heat is fucking good too.
And i have a serious soft spot for Conan the Barbarian
Red Heat was good. Raw deal is about the only one IIRC that wasn't at the level of the rest
I think Raw Deal was better than people remember, it was just relatively grounded for an Arnie film.
They were two of the first films I dubbed when I got my own VCR and then realised I could copy films with two them.

After some outrageous slander on the Fern recently, I felt obliged to re-see Escape From New York last night, and Escape From L.A. tonight.
That would be libel. Truth is a defense in libel (or slander) legally (sometimes, defamation is complicated), and I wrote the comment. So yes, I stand by my judgement that it is shit.

I think Arnies last truly great film off the top of my head is T2. Of course I’m doing this off the top of my head so I’m happy to be corrected on this.
Note I said ‘truly great’. Don’t bother coming at me with True Lies, Last Action Hero, Eraser, End of Days etc which while good are not classics by his standards.

True Lies is so far in front of any Bond film it's not even funny.

Yeah I liked it.
I used to call my second officers " Conan the Librarian". They did bugger all else.
"Look that up, Conan" was my catch phrase.
Aircraft manuals are huge, and I was basically admitting that I didn't have a clue what was happening with the machine or the laws that I was supposed to be following at the time.
You will all feel so much safer taking to the skies after my posts. You will also be waiting a while to do that.

Fuck. Out-pedanted. Touché.
As a reward, I recommend you go watch the movie Bait (the one released in 2000). Enjoy. -

See, now I have had to google that. I don't think that I have read a worse plot. Starting with the stolen prawns leading to his imprisonment and the "bug" in his jaw.
Anyone seen the 2019 - "bait"?
100% on rotten tomatoes (whose ratings I regard as highly as you lot post here, no that isn't a good thing). Won a bunch of those obscure awards.

The 2019 Bait is how I "discovered" the 2000 Bait, (and - the 2008 Bait... Plot: australians, shopping mall, sharks... can't wait to see that one), as some friends had heard of it, and wanted me to acquire it for them.
I've watched the trailer for Bait.2019... it looks very much like art-for-arts-sake. Black-and-white, moody, not much else.
And yeah... Bait.2000 - it took me three attempts to finish it. It is not just the plot which is bad... the execution is fucking atrocious. (But... PRAWNS! Hilarious!)- I've always held up Speed 2: Cruise Control - as the worst movie ever. Bait.2000 makes that look like Doctor Strangelove.

Got to admit that I thought I had read it wrong. Fucking Lol.
I didn't delve into the trailer for Bait 2019 and will probably avoid that too after your comments.
Speed 2 is well and truly up there for worst ever and I will avoid all Bait related things.
There is a lot of it around this joint too.

@Snowy said in Re: Movie review thread...:
Forgot to mention the 2012 bait which I also discovered, and wish that I hadn't.
Ah - is it 2012, not 2008 ?
Australian made - something about a group of teenagers in a flooded shopping mall, and a giant shark?
I've already downloaded it... just working up the courage to give it a go, so I can eventually claim to have seen the whole Bait Trilogy. And insist that any artsy piston wristed gibbons who recommend the 2019 one, must see the prequels before they can fully understand it. -

A handful of guys on the internet don’t like the movies yet they just keep making them and they keep doing well.
Amazing.

@voodoo Show them No Way Out instead.
The best NZ'er directed movie.
Setting aside your hyperbole, I love that movie.
How old are his kids? Over 4 years old? Then it's probably time for Once Were Warriors.
