I didn't mind it either, wife also pulled me into this one, first couple of seasons very slow and some characters will annoy you regardless, but quite enjoyable once you get into it

We settled for it after we started with Ratched and the other half pulled the pin, will decide whether I watch that on my own at some stage.

But yeah, Schitts Creek seems pretty cringy and amusing so far. Fucken tough finding a show that we both like, I gave up on Hannibal second time round. I enjoyed the bits that kind of tied in with the movies but the rest is just a series of absolutely stupid and preposterous scenarios ( Disgusting over the top murder scene, Will solves it, killer apprehended without a fuss, rinse and repeat ).

Mads Danish Guy plays the part brilliantly but the series isn't a patch on the movies.

@MN5 I watched ep 1 of Ratched last night, was a bit slow but enough to make me look at another ep or 2 before I decide on finishing, good cast in it though!

We got through 15 minutes, only one I recognised was the one in American Horror Story.

After binging Hannibal we needed something more lighthearted, mind you before we switched it was awesome seeing the bridge on the Pacific Coast Highway, I drove that nearly 20 years ago.

@MN5 mainly Vincent D'Onofrio as he is pretty good in most anything, Cory Stoll (although didnt recognise him until he took his hat off) and the one form American Horror story, usually decent when they are in stuff.

Wouldn't go out of my way to watch any of them but still keen to give it more of a go regardless. There's always the weekend when the other half is out for a run !

True, even the one about the train in the snow lasted a couple of episodes.

The implausible bullshit needle went past critical for that show. Absolute crap. Woulda stayed on longer if Jennifer Connolly went back to how she looked pre anorexia and got her tits out though to be fair.

Did you like the movie? (I may have already asked this and forgotten).

I enjoyed the movie but the show hasn’t been getting great feedback.

@mikey07 A great series. I still dip into it now and again. Re-watched the first two seasons a few weeks back.

It would be an interesting re-watch to try and pick the shark jumping moment. IMO they landed the jump but things got quite wobbly.
The whole Irish season (was it 3?) was a waste of time but they pulled back in line for a bit after that.
I just remember watching out the end out of obligation.

@Crucial Yeah it was a bit hit and miss. The good bits though were very good imo, whilst the bad bits were just a bit meh rather than complete Barry White. Irish times - agree. Added very little.

Prompted me to google the origin of jumping the shark. Not sure if this is really it, but its a cool clip of the Fonz in his undies and Richie C giving a white supremacy sign

    Happy Days
