    @chimoaus ahhh....the old mother/daughter combo 😲

    I have to say if my wife looks as good as her mother at the same age, I'm golden.

    Thats thinking ahead

    I'm just intrigued as to how the conversation "your mum revs me up" goes with your other half.

    Anything my mother-in-law makes; I blame her for my ever-expanding waistline. I am also very excited that we are watching the Test at her place on Sunday. It means I get to eat like a king and watch the AB at the same time. I can only think of one other thing that could top that.

    I can't begin to fathom how good the food would have to be to contemplate watching a test match at my MIL's place

    She's lovely actually, but fuck the interruptions and conversation!

    The funny thing is my MIL is passionate about the AB's and loves her rugby, I think we are the only 2 people in my postcode that even follow Rugby. We even went to an AB's game together 🙂

    Jesus's fuck, barriers man!!!

    I dont like sharing any sport with the wife, let alone her mother. If my wife ever took up golf, I'd quit the next day.

    Hah, I really enjoy watching the rugga with Bonesetta and bless her, she's got right into it since she's been with me. Loves watching the AB's to the point where our trip to Rome was centred around getting to a game, although she's a massive 'Canes fan (again to the point where we deliberately timed a trip back to take in an early season super game to watch them thrash the Crusaders, she was delighted).

    Absolutely agree. I remember when I first lived in London, I had a kiwi missus that went ape over the rugby. Thought it was great for about a month.

    Then I realised that watching sport was my thing to be shared with the boys. Ended that and never looked back.

    Agree, re golf.

    @Victor-Meldrew Ms DM and I were at Eden Park for the Final. She said she saw a side of me she never knew existed...

    I get into an almost zen like core of focus when watching the AB's play any of our rivals so not really that aware of what's going on around me. I reckon I'm more exhausted than the players by the end of the game. She shuts up so it's all good. Doesn't ask stupid questions. Actually prefer watching with her than some of my mates who like to keep up a running commentary and offer constant coaching advice. Fucks me off no end particularly as they usually comment as if the game was still played under the rules that were in force last time they donned boots.

    Know the feeling. Went to the Millenium Stadium a few years back for an AB-Wales game with a Welsh mate. He warned me he sometimes got "a little emotional and loud at games".

    I needed bloody earplugs.

    Suggest you avoid watching games with rugby journalists - particularly Stephen Jones.

    @Bones

    The farmer up the road told me the the anti-meat people also conveniently leave out the CO2 captured by the grass farm animals graze on when they talk of cows and sheep increasing CO2 emissions.

    Speaking of gluttony, said farmer's rib-eye steaks are to die for.
