Revisionism taken to its most absurd levels. The Crusaders under Deans hogged players in all sorts of positions. This strategy only failed when he pissed players off and they left. 
 
As for your final point, it's pure conjecture. Super rugby as has been pointed out has changed a lot and Deans has been out of it for a looong time. 
 
No issues at all with Dean's coaching record at the Crusaders but there is a very long list of very good players that were a mainstay of his success that were with the franchise before he took over, including the following AB's

Can't be bothered going through the list 1 by 1 but a few of those players came down here when Wayne smith was coach and Deans was manager. 
Smith himself has said one of robbies best points was his eye for young talent

Doubt Blake Gibson would be on the Blues roster either TBH. Doubt Otere Black would be wasting his time on the hurricanes bench either.

Wow, I'm flabbergasted there is a province before country lot. I love HB, love the Magpies, but the ABs are first, Magpies 2nd, clubs and then Super.</blockquote>This is a tough one. I think I go club, ABs, Northland. 
Buy then it gets tricky if I think about which I'd prefer to win more this year, Joe Morgan Memorial Trophy, Rugby Championship or The Whatever The Fuck It Is Now Cup (NPC). 
Because the last time Northland won anything that wasn't a fucking kitchen utensil was maybe close to 20 years ago, I think I'd take the NPC win. ABs win the Rugby championship 9 times out of 10, and my club won the comp back to back in 2011/2012, so I could live with waiting another year to win that again. 
Oh how I dream of a golden era for the Taniwha. Alas, I fear when my son is old enough to listen to my stories of when we beat the star studded Vikings in the 2nd division final, he won't believe me - it'll just be too unbelievable that Northland could ever have won anything.

For me it's ABs first, second and third. I get behind my Super and Domestic teams but when they lose I don't cry. When the ABs lose I have an emotional break down.

Is odd actually, I am more emotionally invested in Northland, so get more upset when they lose (I know right) but get over it cos, well....ABs I guess having the expectation and it being fulfilled brings complacency and if the ABs were losing more it'd start grating too. But then I guess I also actually attend more Northland games, I suppose if I was able to attend more AB games too, I still recall the walk from Twickers in 99...

I am supportive of the idea of Robbie Deans returning to coach in NZ. The poor quality of the sides coached by Cotter and Schmidt suggest to me they are a miles away from being good enough to coach the All Blacks. If Steve Hansen really is going to quit in 2017, then a wiser, older Robbie Deans could well be the best man to take over.
