Yeah, I was meant to say film, I think it's called Zero Hour (Mark Kermode always talks about it on his podcast).
It was, but Arthur Hailey wrote "Runway zero eight" after that which was about inflight food poisoning of pilots. Then he wrote "Airport which was also a movie eventually.
Check this out.
This amused me:
"Many of the parts that seem like they have to be added later as a joke actually were in the film as serious dialog (Our survival hinges on one thing – finding someone who not only can fly this plane, but didn’t have fish for dinner.)."
