    Sparky's Team for Brisbane

    Karl T, Coles, Ofa T, Whitelock (c), Tuipolotu, A. Ioane, A. Savea, Sotutu, A.Smith, Mo'unga, C.Clarke, Laumape, ALB, W.Jordan, J.Barrett

    Subs: Hodgman/Moody, Aumua, Lomax, S.Barrett, Papali'i, Weber, B.Barrett, R.Ioane

Is Sam Cane out injured for Bled 4 or are you giving him a break

Apart from score a try that he should have passed, I would say that Karl T has not done enough to warrant selection. Moody to start with Hodgman on the bench. I agree with the rest of the selections.

    Moody's head is right?

Agree that Karl T needs to work on fitness/mobility.

Agree, I get the cult status and all but I don't believe he is up to modern All Black standard in tackling, fitness or ball handling.

Karl T tends to get better after he plays a few games consecutively, because it seems to take him a little longer than others to get match fit, but once he gets that sorted, he's quite good. It's kind of been that way for the last few Super seasons, but unfortunately for him, he might not be given the luxury to string a few games together with the ABs.

Probably would do well on a tour.

Fitted in perfectly with all the other convicts

And an endless line of fucking Kiwis whose country is so awesome they have to come and live here 😉

They wouldn't feel the need to get on the offensive in defence of their country if Australia wasn't full of smug c@nts telling them how fucking shit their country is every 5 minutes

@junior is this actually the case? most people i know that have been to NZ (myself included) love NZ.

Kiwis are pretty universally likeable people - except when it comes to Rugby where you take classic Aussie smugness to infinity and beyond.

@Gunner he's alot more suited to 12 than wing though. Don't forget he was a 12 before he was a fullback so him playing there should never be out of the question.

You did know that Mealamu was a flanker before he was a hooker though, right?

@Crucial remember Joe MacDonnell, the otago and AB prop? He was a 2nd 5 in under 19s

So there's another bench spot opened up! 😀

I hope to see more players given time in the next match. Despite the win a few Abs underperformed their capability in my view. Goodhue is solid but seems to have lost agility. I would like to see jodie at 12 for a burst. Patty t and Tuinukiafe were a bit subdued. So hope to see Vaai back and switches at prop. Nice if Weber Reece Jordan and Aumua get a go. Akira must be due a start finally also. Very pleased to see Sam Whitelock regain his vigorous involvement without the burden of captaincy too.

I think I may have insinuated that a couple of times as well. He's definitely not a winger.

Jordie's best position is FB. Thats were he should start with BB either starting at 1st. Or in the reserves

The Aust first and second were crap.

So some good news fore them

                    https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/300147364/james-oconnor-set-to-return-for-wallabies-for-final-bledisloe-cup-game

The star playmaker's absence left Noah Lolesio and Irae Simone as the first 10-12 combination to make a debut for Australia since 1985, and the pair struggled behind a well beaten pack in the record 43-5 loss.

But Wallabies sources have said O'Connor is almost a certain starter for the fourth and final Bledisloe Cup test at Suncorp Stadium.

It may well be his best position (which I agree) but he’s not the best test fullback in the AB squad.

a proven 10 takes pressure to 'make a play' off, though, and the experience steadies folk.

That wasn't best kick by JOC 2.0 (as Aussies boards are calling him), but tacklers/chasers did have something to do with that.

It may well be his best position (which I agree) but he’s not the best test fullback in the AB squad.

I disagree. He was easily the best FB during super rugby. But the selectors want to fit both Barrett's in so he ends up on the wing

He was in very good form for SRA, but as it stands he’s unproven at test level as a fullback, so whilst we have a quality test fullback in the team, the coaches have decided to select that guy.

Given we got to see a bit more of how they want Beaudie and Mo’unga to operate in tandem, it’s a little more clearer what they are trying to do.

Is it possible that Beaudie at 10 and Jordie at 15 could do that, very possible given some of the skill set, but we’ll wait and see if that gets a shot in the next 3 tests.

Maybe the likes of Jordan, Laumape and Akira get a chance.

“There will be some changes,’’ All Blacks forwards coach John Plumtree confirmed Tuesday.

“Yes, we have got some players knocking on the door. There has been some awesome competition for spots, and we can expect some changes to freshen players up and we also want to see, as selectors, players that have performed really well during Super.’’
