Argentina One: Parramatta, 14 November

It'll be really interesting too see how the Argy go. They've had a very decent time together as a squad. Something you'd only normally get in a world cup year. Played a couplu of minnows games. They've seen how to fuck over the undisciplined abs. They could make a game of it. Especially game two after a test Vs has then Oz under their belt

Yeah, the problem was not the size and power of the English back row - the problem was the size and power of the English tight 5, coupled by the fact that we were beaten to too many breakdowns, or under-manned at too many breakdowns, because we played a lock on the blindside flank.

Wow, so many people talking up Akira and downplaying Frizell. No problem with talking up "the people's choice Akira", his potential is huge but Frizell has been really good so far this year and the best blindside we've had for a while.

Maybe you could go back and watch the first 3 games without an eye patch? Frizzel definitely hits a lot of breakdowns... maybe not as noticeable because he's not standing to the side of the ruck with one hand on it...
Agree that he was very busy and hit a lot of breakdowns. Not sure he shifted s lot of bodies or made a lot of metres though.

He didn't appear to make a heck of a lot of metres, but there was certainly a high amount of carries with big collisions. I can't be 100% sure but I would've thought that definitely has an impact on the opposition defence and energy. Hitting breakdowns isn't just about shifting bodies visibly. Do we lose breakdowns on our own ball when he's in the first couple there? Is it quick ball or slow ball?

If you’d actually read my posts about Frizzell earlier this year you’d have noted that I said I wanted him to get back to his form from before he got injured last year, when he was actually looking like the guy he was hyped to be when coming out of nowhere from the Highlanders bench.
And if you’d read my posts in this thread I even said he was busy.
Not sure who you’re referring to with one hand on the ruck in this context.

To me what Frizell brings is really high number of involvements, great athleticism (in a useful way not a Fifita way) and terrific aerial skills (restarts and lineout).
What Akira brings is a lot of strength/power (ball running, breakdowns, tackling) whilst also being very quick and useful in the lineout himself.
It's shaping as an interesting battle.
I’d like it to be an actual battle but only one of the combatants is actually getting any decent time on the battlefield.
