On the other hand, in Australia they had plants with neurotoxins (and signs warning you off):

North Queensland just has an abundance of shit that can totally fuck you up. Super venomous snakes. Saltwater crocs. Tiger sharks. and yes, even the fucking plants.

I think that it also known as "lawyer cane" - not sure about that? It might be another evil bloody Queenslander thing.
