I said semi was par for this squad, final is a decent result, just lacking the finish, a few players who as a fan, I cant see why they are there

Unfortunately that result was as many predicted.

But jeez the Tani’s made a game of it, well in the first half anyway.

Congrats to HB who just totally dominated the 2nd 40 and deserved the win after a dominant season.

Didn’t have a bearing on the result but the standard of refereeing in NZ is bloody poor. Ref missed heaps and also found a lot of infringements that weren’t there tonight.

Yessssssssss, Championship winners and promoted back to the Premiership again. Whether we get to play in the Premiership next season is another matter, but we're back in the highest division now and it's well-deserved.

Terrible defence from us in the first half, I thought several players looked pretty nervous, but all came right in the second half.

Excellent game again from Fakatava, Dixon, Lowe, Mikaele-Tu'u, Ili and Flanders. Great impact IWL. Baker can f*ck right off to sevens. That first Northland try is on him with that stupid quick line-out throw. And then Visinia made same mistake.

Some beautiful tries for both sides; it's a pity there was a forward pass, but Devan Flanders non-try looked awesome.

Lincoln McClutchie was in quite a lot of pain and still played out the first half. I hope it's not too bad.
