Watched this on Amazon Prime - pretty interesting idea of the near-future (2033?) where we can upload consciousness into artificial worlds.
Took me a couple of sittings to get into binge mode as there was a bit of setup going on, but it has some good concepts and a bit of mystery-solving to be done. A few laugh out loud moments too, and a couple of hot chicks.
Season 2 has been greenlit so we'll see what comes of that.
Andy Allo is my current hottest actress at the moment.
Sheβs so hot on the show I genuinely had to concentrate to think of another hot chick - then remembered the blonde.
Halfway through E1. She's cute, but no Halle Berry or Winona Ryder, the 2 all-time short haired hot chicks. Shout out to Lori Petty too
Jesus, we have different tastes, young Halle Berry is up there with her but Ryder isn't close and Petty is still standing back on the starting blocks.

If you like Scandi Noir, after a wobbly first episode DNA on BBC iPlayer is good.
Yeah I watched this. A bit of a scene setter first ep but improved after that.

Petty only gets there because of her character in PB. In real-life she doesn't make it.
Can't believe I forgot Natalie Imbruglia
And don't ever diss Winona bro!

@voodoo did you see her (Petty) in Orange is the New Black...yikes

Mr Inbetween just keeps on giving. Watch out for tadpoles.
Edit: and huntsman.
It's great, and fuck me it gets dark in places.
Both those scenes had me in stitches, the acting is top notch.

@taniwharugby @Bovidae ....
Watched S1 E1 of Warrior last night, on the "recommendation" of a few Ferners.
Danish, subtitled. Not quite what I was expecting.
Ex-army colleague of a dead guy feels guilt for his death. Agrees to help the widow by going undercover to infiltrate a crime lord called Tom (terrifying name huh?).
Pretty well acted, lead guy is convincing. Not convinced by the pending love story.
Will probably ditch in favour of the other Warrior.

Started watching a Russian series on NEtflix - To the Lake
an unknown virus strikes in Moscow, with people dying within a few days and a group of people try to head to a lake to sit it out.
2 eps in and am enjoying it (with subtitles, havent tried the dubbing as most of the time it sucks)
Based on a bestselling book, Vongozero

Tom, scarier than Keith

The Queens Gambit
Sounds absolutely shit and I only agreed to watch it as Iβd taken over the TV for the cricket the night before.
You know what ? Itβs actually well made and pretty compelling about half way through so far.
The other half and I are already dusting off the chess set for some games.

One of my work colleagues works part time at Dymocks (bookstore chain) and she said they've been running out of stock of chess boards on a weekly basis.
I think in 12 months time there will be lots of dusty chess sets in peoples homes.
