@Kirwan ...it could work, I thik the difference between him and the dude that did han is he's supposed to be a good actor, super hero films might not do him credit, and if they brought mark hamil in to coach it could be good

That could be incredibly cool. But the shadow hanging over it is the fact that Luke becomes a pathetic broken hermit.

God I wish they would retcon the sequel trilogy

@Rancid-Schnitzel yeah...I can definitely see the argument to just leave the main films and their characters alone and concentrate on new or Filoni ones

Yup what's done is done. Lots of opportunities to use a new character like Mando as a device to tell stories about other cool characters peripheral to the main 9 films

anyone got a good idea for who could play Thrawn?

ive seen some good ones but I like Jason Isaacs, a blue lucias Malfoy

just saw another, Chiwetel Ejiofor, he played a similar character in Serenity, that very calm, poised and menacing kind of bad guy

I thought the Empire had a strict ‘humans only’ policy ? how did Thrawn get away with being part of the team ?

@MN5 haven't read the novels but I think that's one of the good ones, the story of how he progressed so far

When Palpatine first forms the Empire in ROTS he has that tall blue dude and the bald chick by his side. They are not human and noticeably absent later on.

He is human isn’t he? Just with blue skin.

In terms of casting I would be uncomfortable with them using someone who isn’t actually blue skinned. No blue face please.

    Think someone mentioned Sir Alec not liking Star Wars, worth listening to this;

That 2.25% of the backend would have been tasty.

@Kirwan that was me, I might have fallen for exaggeration and elaboration that may have happened over the years, thought i'd even heard he'd never seen it all but obviously he did, thanks 🙂

I think I remember him telling some child fan to grow up, so he might be a bit prickly.

@Kirwan I did a bit more search, seems like there was some resentment that grew based around the fans and as he said in that clip he didn't like the dialogue but respected the overall film and the people that worked on it

one comment was it was his idea to kill off obiwan, on the surface for a bit of drama...but he also didn't think he could do another film with that dialogue 😹

Yeah, there is a reason Carrie Fisher re-write so much dialogue in Empire Strikes Back. You should look up her changes, they were quite good.

And Harrison's famous quote, "You can write this shit George, but you can't say it"

That was the main thing missing from the prequels, someone editing/improving the source (which are good ideas). At that point who was saying no to George Lucas?

Did Carrie Fisher Do Her Own Rewrites for 'The Empire Strikes Back'?

An image circulating online falsely attributed some dialogue changes to the Hollywood icon.
