All you need to win a match in Aus is to win the toss.

That is the most incredible cricket shot I have ever seen. The stuff of legends and likely the biggest reverse shot played in internationals. Bring it on. Maxwell the big show...

The aussie media have focused on that reverse sweep shot in the match reviews. They replayed it stacks of times and the height and hang time were stunning. Hope someone can provide a clip link.

Predictably, Rahul finally gets back on strike and promptly throws his wicket away to add to the middle overs malaise from India

India’s late over batting and middle over bowling has been excellent and will likely win it for them with 2 overs to go and Oz needing 35

For all that fawning pre game hype, the Big Show became a No Show with the bat. Not often a dropped catch that hits you in the head turns out to be a good thing, but:

@Donsteppa it was a fairly humid night in Canberra last night and the pitch seemed to play a bit different to 2 nights ago for the final ODI. A lot of mistimed shots from both sides.

The thing I like about India in T20 is even when their backs are against the wall, they play as if they are going to win. That concussion sub was superb.

Interesting mix up between Smith and Wade. Wade hits one to Kohli, Kohli juggles and drops the catch. Smith had called a run and then mid pitch tells Wade to go back where he is left high and dry and Wade is run out.

Wade was on fire and Smith pretty new at the crease.

    Wade is captain.

Cricket is not really a team sport...

    Pandya is a beast.

India chase down the 195 with 2 balls to go.

3rd T20 on right now. I've turned off the comms. Warne is a muppet. Isa Guha is class, however.

Chahar looks a hell of a bowler, seems to move it both ways.

Re: the discussion earlier in the thread about Will Pucovski; I just saw the replay during the T20 of him getting his ninth (!!) concussion earlier today at the age of 22.

From a rough tally of an older article, five of his concussions are from batting (plus one from playing Aussie Rules when he was younger, one from an accident at home, one from fielding, and one from "Completing a quick single, Pucovski’s bat jammed in the turf and his momentum threw him forward, landing heavily and hitting his head on the ground").

Nine concussions by the age of 22 would be high even by rugby standards. Hope we do see him at the top level given all the accounts of his batting, but not sure what they do about his technique against the short ball/freak accidents.
