    @mariner4life Wednesday morning Phinda in northern KZN province SA. There was a long build up before that. Mother with 2 sub adults knew there was a croc and kept scouting but didn’t go right down for ages. They were all really hungry and thirsty and that one young male ignored his mom calling him away in the end with his drive to drink some water too strong. Mom and sibling hung around for ages calling for him -

    Our family friends had a son 4 years older than me, they lived next to a native reserve, and he had his stash in an old tree trunk.

    I used to borrow a couple for light reading and swap them out when we visited...no idea if he knew or not.
