First episode
Epic
First episode and if I was the judge I'd not give such a bumbling panic merchant of a son an alibi.
Edit: It seems that the judge's decision makes more sense with a little more viewing.
I watched Ep1 last night myself. Obviously the first episode is to set up the rest of the series, but the son didn't help himself.

@voodoo the American one? yeah we to into it a couple of years ago, had a few series backed up
it, William H Macy stars - really fun, doesn't require any deep thinking which I like right now!

@voodoo we caught up a while back and then went to watch the UK (original) one but the first episode is almost identical, shot for shot so didn't see the point
I had no idea that this wasn't an original!!!

@taniwharugby yeah, he plays the "steve" role, that was a surprise when we watched
have you watched both? do they follow the same stories or is it just the pilot?
-
@Kiwiwomble i used to watch it when I was in the UK, so watching the US version didnt work for me as it was very samesy.
-
its weird when this stuff comes up, we just watched the latest season over the last couple of weeks, season 10

I've watched both - well, all of the UK, and a fair few seasons of the US one.
I think the UK one is much better, but I watched it first. My sister tried to watch the UK one after watching several seasons of the seppo one, and thought the UK one was much worse.
Taste, or just the order you watch it in? I dunno.
I find a strong parallel to the Office - the UK being much shorter, a better (in my flawless opinion) sense of humour, and less saccharine.
The seppo version, of Shameless - I've watched maybe 5, or 6 seasons. And felt it was just getting very repetitive... I'm struggling to get enthused enough to knock off another season.EDIT: As to whether it continues to follow the same story... it's been so long since I watched the first season of each, I'm not sure... but I think the very general character arc of each was quite similar (somebody being gay, somebody else knocking up somebody they shouldn't, etc) ... but the details were very different... as you'd expect, the seppo one becoming very 'american' early - a crisis would involve several thousand dollars being owed to a gangster, for example. Whereas a UK crisis would be a bit more subtle... or rather... even if it's still cartoon-ish (I seem to recall poisoned meat from the back of a truck?) - the ramifications were more like the family losing cred, rather than a gangster seeking revenge? Maybe?

Shame we dont see more of Miss Cooper
I’m really surprised that @Nepia hasnt found (or shared) this show. She is just his type. Very hot and appears more as the show goes on.

Just finishing Borgen as well; a political series in Denmark.
Working our way through that as well.
I misread the title originally and thought that it was set in West Auckland, but the kids aren't called Metallica, Torana (or anything similar), so seems that I had it wrong.
The show is quite good though (sexual references and some nudity all included). -

Going through a rewatch of BAttlestar Galactica. Holds up really well after 16 years.
Going to be interesting in the future as graphics get better and better, harder to date shows by their special effects.
I remembered it being less serial than it is, enjoy watching an episode with a self contained story.
It's on Amazon Prime now. I'm finding it a bit of a struggle TBH. Very hokey and the fact they paid zero attention to what it should look like is distracting. I mean they right things on paper and carry clipboards FFS and not just on Galactica to prevent cylon hacking. Everywhere.

Where would they get networked devices from?

I have not heard of this show, and don't know anything about this actress. a cursory google image search suggests I should find out which streaming service has this show here in Oz.
