That looks soooo sweet!

@Stockcar86 I'll join the wagon - the precis is weird and intriguing as fuck, and the trailer looks awesome.
Here's hoping it's a direct-to-torrent release. -
whats not to like?

Savage - apparently Inspired by the true stories of New Zealand's street gangs in the 60's, 70's and 80's
Follows 'Damage' who is the Savage's enforcer. Story starts with him as an adult, then we see bits of him growing up in his early teens and then late teens.
I recall there being some chatter about this movie when it was made, with the usual nancies moaning about it glorifying gang culture.
Far from it really, instead highlights the brutal nature of gangs, and the varied paths of some people that end up in them.

JLo is a total smokeshow
I've been reading a heap of Elmore Leonard recently... having the mental image of J-Lo when reading Out of Sight, great stuff.

Bloody great feel good movie for Xmas Eve.
4 one inch pipes out of 5 the future looks pretty bleak.
Even better that Bonesetta thought it was a documentary.
A bunch of guys I worked with did too. Must watch it again sometime, I remember it being quite the laugh

The Devil All The Time
Netflix has this, but apparently it had a cinema release. Touted as a "Psychological Thriller", I prefer to label it "Indulgent Twaddle".
Director wanted to try and make a serious, slow-paced film with a lot of violence and suggestion of tits, and pretty much got all that.
Set in good ol' god-fearing West Virginia, yet populated with a good crop of non-American actors (Tom Holland, RPatz, some Aussie burd), this is shit except for some decent acting by Holland and some above average cinematography.

Eye of the Beholder
The Good: It stars Ashley Judd.
The Bad: She's supported by these blokes; Ewan McGregor, k.d. Lang and Jason Priestley. The plot is near absent. The script is pathetic. The direction is terrible, where it exists.
As with many movies, the Europeans did it better first. See Mortelle Randonnée
Even for an Ashley fan, this is difficult to watch.

Excuse me for a minute while I post a rant about pedants in the Grumpy Old man thread....
