@NTA I hear you but better to let him play and enjoy his chance rather than dwell on a what if.

I'm more concerned about his long term mental health if you don't let him play 🙂

Crowds for the SCG reduced from 50% capacity to 25% capacity.

SCG Test crowds reduced to 25 per cent of ground capacity

SCG Test crowds reduced to 25 per cent of ground capacity

Officials respond to concerns about risks of COVID-19 spread at the SCG Test by reducing crowd numbers to a maximum of a quarter of the ground's capacity.

Possible showers predicted for Thursday and Friday at Moore Park but mostly clear thereafter. So it might even go until Day 5!

India are also reportedly shitty about having to go into hard lockdown for the Gabba test.

India reportedly raises concerns over Brisbane Test, Sydney ready to host both

SCG could host back-to-back Tests after India reportedly express concerns over having to play under quarantine conditions in Brisbane, preferring the fourth Test be played elsewhere.

However, a source in the Indian camp has reportedly expressed concern over the team being forced into a hard quarantine upon entry to Queensland, saying they would rather the final — and possibly deciding — Test be played elsewhere.

This was after five players reportedly broke the bubble in Melbourne:

An Indian cricket fan's social media video of five Test players sitting at a table in a Melbourne restaurant and comments that he hugged one of them spark an investigation over potential breaches of strict biosecurity protocols.

A video of some Indian players, including Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant, sitting at a table in a Melbourne restaurant has been posted on the Twitter account of Navaldeep Singh.

Will be following this one pretty keenly........extremely hard to call ( at 1-1 in the series this is hardly a startling insight )

Firstly, fuck off if you don't like quarantine. It's what every other team has had to endure to play cricket this year.

Secondly, has Navaldeep received any threats yet?

@booboo don’t believe too much of what is being reported. Sounds like a bit of games going on before the Sydney test starts. Brad Haddin trying to egg it up last night too.

Besides, if India want to go home, who can stop them? Or blame them?

A sternly worded letter of dissatisfaction will have the bcci quaking I'm sure. Better to be decent hosts and accomodate all sides for this one off match.

All they have to announce is - "there's a deadly virus present in Queensland, so we're outta here thanks very much! - player safety etc blah...

You can't on the one hand hype up the scary virus to paralysis levels and then condemn visiting people for not wanting to be near it.

Haddin fucking around with his mouth too much again. If the Indians walk, aussie cricket loses, and not just on the field this time. Dickhead talk

Do they split the test championship points in that case? In which case they all but guarantee themselves a place in the final?

Providing the Christchurch weather cooperates India would need to win the third test wouldn't they? A draw or a loss would still see NZ & Australia be #1, #2.

@rotated don't India have to win at least 3 matches from their series with Oz and England (at home) to get #2? While we have to get max points from our WI and Pakistan series to take second spot if India don't make it?

There is literally zero chance that the final won’t be 2 of the big 3. Oz, India, England. Zero.

No, both teams would get 0 points. However, making the WTC final is about the percentage of points gained from those competed for so it doesn't matter.

No India have 6 games left (4 against England), 30 points a win, 10 points a draw. They need 120 points to have a greater % than NZ do if they beat Pakistan. This completely changes if any of the games get cancelled.

NZ has quite a good chance of making but it will all depend on other results.

Is Pucovski the geeza that keeps getting knocked out?
