Not that bizzare. Making the openers come out to field to then only have 10 minutes turnaround to bat is a decent reason.

I can't imagine how intimidating he'd be to bowl to. Also how intimidating he'd be to face! Brings back memories of playing as a kid and you turn up and see the other team has some massive kid and you hope like hell he can't bowl or bat.
