Not suggesting he's a has been. Just suggesting that he's not currently as good as Jamieson.
Sure Boult got one early today, but Jamieson's 2 overs yesterday had a wicket a dropped catch and 2 close LBW appeals. There were also a number of plays and misses. That was in 2 overs. He also took 5 wickets in the first innings. He's on fire and I think he should be bowling first up ahead of Boult.

That logic is like suggesting KW get promoted to open ahead of one of the Toms cos he's doing better of late.
I'm extremely happy with Jamieson and how he's going.

It's so frustrating because he can be so good but can't be consistent. I often wonder if he'd had a consistent run in the side would he have developed that consistency, rather than only playing the odd test here and there. The answer is probably that if he was good enough to do that he have won his way into the side anyway.
He's a beast at first class level, maybe just lacking that extra consistency that means he can't quite handle the step up to tests.

It's tough when NZ play so few tests so there's just not as much opportunity to begin with, and when you're on the fringe you get very few chances at all to cement a spot. I've always rated him highly, and with the new white ball he can be completely unplayable.
