@scribe i had spotted that and added to my watch list.

Just finished No Mans Land, pretty good series, has James Purefoy.

Has some subtitles, about a French guy whose sister was killed in Egypt but he think he has seen her in a conflict zone on a news report so goes hunting for her and ends up in Syria.

Also follows 3 Brits who commit to ISIS in Syria.

    The Red Shafows

French thriller about a cop who discovers her sister who disappeared 25 years ago is alive.

Made very watchable by the two main characters.

Mike Judge's Tales from the Tour Bus is one of the best things I've seen in years. All those country music boys were degenerate motherfuckers.

Extremely entertaining and well edited. Recommended.

The Stand - mini-series on Stephen King's novel.

Pretty good and some of the characters are better than the 1994 version with Gary Sinese, it doesn't quite have the sense of impending doom that series had.

    3.5/5

@R-L where as Downton is probably more true to history, Bridgerton is more idealized, everything is bright, modern songs played by tradition instruments and a minor plot point is the inclusion of people of colour into throughout all levels of society, was very enjoyable

    I am a killer

Awesome show, very interesting. Each episode is an interview with a killer inside an American prison. Fascinating to see them now, footage of them interviewed when younger, victims family being interviewed etc. Obviously loads of them have found God and seem pretty philosophical and reflective on what they've done. Also none of them seem irredeemably bad, quite a few seem pretty normal but often victims of a really shit set of circumstances.

I nailed FIVE episodes in a row, not ideal the night before my first day back at work haha !

Just finished the Queen's Gambit. As a kid I loved playing chess with the old man, I enjoyed the series immensely. The main character was easy on the eye as well, always a bonus

@Catogrande Worse, I'm an academic. In a practical field though (STEM).

It should be easy enough to find a torrent.
