Ex-Scotland coach Matt Williams has claimed on Irish TV the England players from Saracens, including Billy Vunipola, weren't at the races.

@Machpants saw a post from an English mate saying that Saracens needed to be returned to the Premiership for the good of English rugby 😂

Where was Swing Low over the PA system?

Just watched England v Scotland. Well-deserved win for Scotland, although the margin should have been much bigger!

It's a terrible cliche, hearing commentators, coaches or players say "the ... (winning) team wanted it more", but in this case, the English really played like they didn't want to win, while Scotland made a huge effort. Glad it paid off.

How bad was Owen Farrell? Geez. And Itoje, how didn't he get sent off for multiple infringements? England could, and probably should, have lost more players to the bin with that penalty count. And yes, several players looked unfit and/or disinterested. Awful.

I'm a fan of Hogg, and I thought he played very well. I particularly liked some of the rookies, no. 8 Matt Fagerson and left winger Duhan van der Merwe. Experienced Jonny Gray was good, too.

    France for the grand slam?

For those teams that actually play games, England and NZ will swap places in the world rankings with this loss.

Congratulations to @MN5 and any other secret gingas out there. A thoroughly deserved win and we were lucky to come second. Scoreboard did not reflect the game. Itoje the only England player to impose himself at all. With such little possession your kicking game has to be spot on or you compound your problems. Ours was shit. We’re were out-passioned, out-played and out-coached. Just bloody awful.

thought it rather amusing that the players were 'social distancing' during the anthem.

@taniwharugby Yes that bit of nonsense amused me too. Last time I smiled for the whole game.

Not a fan of Itoje, but I agree. He seemed the only England player who was up for the challenge - gave 110%.

@Victor-Meldrew He’s one of those annoying players that you love when they’re on your side but you can still see why opposition fans don’t like them. Totally different to say Austin Healey who was always easy to dislike even when on your side.

The Italian tackling was very poor.

That French halfback put in a dominant performance. He controlled the game well but his support play was superb.

A good mix of individual brilliance and solid team rugby from France.

I didn’t count one set of phases or even an individual play that England looked remotely likely to score a try.

And if the Scottish 1st 5 didn’t kick front foot ball away so often, the Scots could’ve put even more pressure on.

French used to say that about Sir Richie.

Great at disruption. But gave away 6 penalties. Overdid it.

If you're the only one disrupting then that is the risk you run. I'd rather have those penalties than him be ineffective.

On the penalties, I couldn't see what he'd done wrong in the first couple of minutes when he charged down Price's kick and then claimed the loose ball. Any ideas?

The most annoying things about him is that no ref sees to have the balls to card him despite him being about the most penalised player on the park in most matches he plays. I would have a certain Richie-like respect for him if he was never whistled, but he gets caught plenty and yet never seems to get carded.

And as if to prove my point, how anyone can give away 6 penalties - all breakdown and therefore repeat offences I presume - and not spend anytime in the bin is beyond me
