Huge lesson for Mahomes and the Chiefs offensive line tonight.

Bucs really didn’t have to do anything special in offence and just let Brady and Fournette do their thing.

Pretty impressive Bucs defence. Bowles will likely be a red hot candidate in the 2022 HC cycle. The question is does he move on, or wait to take over from Arians.

The sensible thing would be to find a good landing spot and move, this Bucs team is 100% win now and will almost certainly need a major rebuild in the next couple of years. It would probably be a repeat of his Jets experience. But HC roles normally become vacant for a reason, so starting in an environment where people know you and have confidence in you might be a good choice.

I liked him when he was HC at the Jets. Some of the issues were definitely on him (game management, and adjusting from running the defence to being the 'CEO') but there was also an awful front office situation and he never really had the talent to be genuinely competitive. I'm hoping that he'll have a successful second stint, landing in a slightly better spot and learning from his mistakes at the Jets.

That’s my first super bowl since the last Super Bowl was on Waitangi Day. That was wicked.

    43 fucking years old.

    Superbowl MVP at 43.

Seven rings - is that more than any other team? (Edit: Yes)

    Talk about high fucking standards.

@nzzp their offensive line have been absolutely destroyed too - he's running for his life.

Made the same comment to some mates, its like a Benny Hill sketch watching him run away 40m backwards!!!

Not a bad effort considering how in demand he was two decades ago in the draft.

Goes to show how much of a crap shoot drafting players is. But his lower position helped him land with a great team with time to learn under a great coach. Does he realise his potential if he gets drafted higher to a poor team? No one will ever know. He commented often over the years that his pick position helped drive him, and I guess it is almost impossible to assess how much will, heart and guts a guy has

A disappointing game as a neutral but credit to the Bucs defensive unit. They won them the game.

I thought it was boring as batshit. Decided not to continue having it on in the background after halftime.

Brady is an insane combination of a guy with great talent, a massive chip on his shoulder driving him to succeed and keep succeeding, the confidence in himself to take below market deals knowing that success will pay off, and one of the all time greatest head coaches who was particularly brilliant at building defences from undervalued players meaning there was plenty of money to put into the offence. Having Gronk take a long term deal with a bit of a discount early because of his injury concerns, and then being relatively fit for his career helped too.

It's a perfect storm. I don't see anyone else ever coming close.

I was trying not to be too negative. 🙂

I also watched with a Bucs supporter (from Tampa).

Watched it for the first time in years. Absolutely loved it, it's great sport.

Going to start a thread on what NFL has gotten right since I last watched it, which is in direct contrast as to what international rugby has gotten completely wrong.

Afer a weekend of 6N rugby and then that to finish off ... I've got some thoughts to share!

As one sided a superbowl as I can remember

Brady is the goatiest goat who ever goated. What a fucking player. He owned that field today.

As good as the Buccs offence was, the winning of the game was the discipline of the Buccs defence, and how porous the Chiefs o-line was. Mahomes was under pressure every single snap, as the pocket collapsed, or white jerseys were just pouring through.

The Chiefs offered nothing because they were constantly under pressure on both sides of the ball. Great performance from Tampa.

Fucking Brady is a deadset marvel.

KC getting killed by cheap penalties. Costing them big time.

I like seeing poor disciplined teams losing.

Imagine being selected in the NFL for your ability to kick and being as bad as the KC kicker.

It may be a distinct lack of practice.

I heard a stat that up until the Bill's game 2 weeks ago the Chiefs hadn't punted since last year's conference championship.

Wentz to the Colts for a third this year and a conditional first next year. (Wentz needs to start 75% or 70% plus Colts make the playoffs)

Eagles take the biggest dead money cap hit in NFL history, Wentz is reunited with Frank Reich.

Eagles show that QB economics in the NFL are farked, and that it's a total punt
