Djokovic has been disqualified from the US Open for hitting a line judge in the throat with a ball he despatched in a fit of temper. It was accidental but apparently you could hear her choking through the sound effects mic.

Pure entertainment from Kyrgios in the Aus Open tonight.

Fights off two match points in the 4th set to win in 5 sets.

Between his outbursts, trick shots, rollercoaster play and interviews the dude is just fun to watch.

It was like a tennis version of happy gilmour tonight. Lots of fans who don't look or act like tennis fans. The craziness finally wore Ugo down. Nick loves that shit

I cant stand him. He pouted his way through that entire thing. Looked like he was just swinging for the fence and couldn't care less if he won or lost.

I'm told there was good advertising for Stan Sport during the broadcast. Massive numbers of eyes on that, with a view to the Stan Sport acquisition of rights to future tennis tournaments.

I also think he comes off as a spoiled little cockhead who looks like he'd rather be anywhere else.

In a time where so many athletes are media trained robots I find Kyrgios a serious breath of fresh air. Especially in Tennis. The Happy Gilmore comparison is a good one.

His feud with Novak 'Shooter McGavin' Djokovic is awesome.

As for Stan Sport Rugby yes it features very prominantly on the tennis - constant ads etc.

There is a wide zone available between Robot and Cockhead, and I think he could maybe move a little bit away from the latter.

If he feels it helps his tennis, then fair enough.

@KiwiMurph he just looks like he doesn't want to be there. If he was smiling and geeing the crowd, I'd be into it. Currently he just pouts and stomps around.

What a talent though. That serve, I love how fast he gets into his action, he can finish a love game faster than any other player

@NTA @voodoo That's fair. To me the cockhead label fits with Tomic not Kyrgios.

    Thats also fair!!!

What a waste of talent that guy is. Maybe he was always screwed from the start thanks to his dad being the original

Isn't it widely known Kyrgios doesn't want to be there? like, tennis is his job, and he does it to get paid. So he's like the rest of us, just we see his work attitude on TV

I love the way he holds sanctimonious cockstains like Djokovic to account.

Tennis is shit. The best players are either deathly deathly boring, or in one case, a boring cockstain. At least someone is making it a little bit interesting.

    What a bunch of snowflakes

These fuckers knew the rules before they came. If they weren't happy to abide I'm sure there would have been other players keen to take their place

I've warmed a bit to Nick over that. There's some self-awareness in this....

It's a strange one for me, because, you know, I read his comments, he said he doesn't respect me off the court," Kyrgios said.

"I'm, like, it actually would make complete sense to me if he was like, 'look, I don't respect the guy on the court', because I understand if he doesn't agree with some of my antics on the court that I have done in the past.

Only bit I've seen so far was the last part of the third set of Halep vs the Aussie Tomljanovic.

Halep was down 2-5 and looking down and out, but she's one of those gritty feckers that don't have massive weaponry, but just hang in and hang in - getting the ball back one more time.

She won the last five games and the match.

I like her - she's got a sense of humour!

What a comeback by Tsitsipas to beat Nadal in 5 sets after being down 2 sets to nil.

A single hand backhand is always great to watch.

Nadal is one of the GOATs, but his idiosyncrasies are exhausting. The arranging of the bottles, not touching the lines after points, the twitchy pre-point routine. I'm getting tired thinking about it

I've never been a Nadal fan (firmly in camp Fed) but he seems like a good dude despite his idiosyncrasies. Djokovic, in comparison, is a big piston wristed gibbon.

This probably means that Novak edges closer to Federer and Nadal in the number of Grand Slam wins. It would be great if Tsitsipas or Medvedev prevail.
