Still 95kg, cycled, ran & weights last week. May give up on the weight issue, as I feel fitter, am looking trimmer, but not shifting any weight. Been eating extremely healthy the last 2 weeks as well!

I havent weighed myself for 2 weeks, still want to drop a few more kg's but dont want to start obsessing about it, thats for chicks to do!

Anymore golfing tourny's coming up TR?

A few coming up around Northland, but am not hugely interested in contesting too many this season, given my inconsistant play at present.

Is one more that I will play in September, only a 54 hole tournament though. Other than that, just club champs.

Man am I feeling it today, amazing how much golf takes out of you!! Mind you, I havent played 72 holes in a weekend since I was 22, so maybe something in that... :nta

I'm always better in the 19th Hole unfortunately! Something of a hacker all though I am improving ever so slightly! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

But this was the 'real' 19th, not that mythical drinking hole! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Mate, if I could only stop hittng 'curve balls' off the tee I'd be on my way to a half decent score and wouldn't be so worried about having that beer at the 'mythical drinking hole'. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

OK, played today, played pretty well, well tee to green, from there it went pear shaped!!

Score - 84 (ave 78 +1)
GiR - 61.1% (ave 48.1% +1.6%)
Fairways - 20% (ave 45.7% -1.2%)
Birdies - 0; conversion rate 0% (ave 24.5% -3.1%)
Putts - 38 (ave 34 +1)
Up/d - 25% (ave 31.2% -3.1%)
Sand saves* - 0% (0/2 - ave 0%)

Hit 11/18 greens, 8 of the 1st 11 holes, and couldnt get anything to drop; next week am gonna probably not play but spend a few hours on the practice fairway with my wedges in hand! So often I hit a great tee shot (or 2nd on par 5) only to blow a birdie chance by a poor chip or 50 yard wedge shot, instead of hitting to 2 or 3 feet I am leaving myself with a 10-15ft putt...

My handicap has moved out to a 6 now... <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

After about 40mins practice yesterday, I remembered that standing on a practice fairway hitting ball after ball sucks! So I decided I had just as well play and work on a few things out there...

Horrific start to my round, 4 over after 2, 6 over after 7, finished 7 over. Once I put my driver away, I was fine!

Score - 79 (ave 78 +0)
GiR - 58.6% (ave 48.9% +.8%)
Fairways - 46.7% (ave 45.8% +.1%)
Birdies - 0; conversion rate 0% (ave 22.1% -2.4%)
Putts - 34 (ave 34 +0)
Up/d - 33.3% (ave 31.7% +.5%)
Sand saves - 100% (33% ave +33%)

Changed something in my stance and all of a sudden I was firing wedge shots at the pin, hit 9 of the last 10 greens, my putting let me down as I failed to convert any, even the 2 foot ones... <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

The 1 green I missed was a par 5, my 3rd from 125m (front of green) hit a wedge and must have got it so good as I flew it OOB 15m out the back of the green... 😕

Positive is that my wedge game may be on its way to returning!!
Anywhoo...

Started off with a 7 on a par 4 after splitting the fairway with a 260m 3 wood, 2nd shot, somewhere in the trees out the back of the green, never to be seen again, brand new ball, hit 2 times... <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> :2funny: now....
I really think I need to go out and hit 50 golf balls before I tee off, because it seems to be about then that I start playing ok... 😢

Actually hit the ball pretty well, a few fairways missed by inches, hit 8 of the last 10 greens, but missed a few early putts for birdie and from there, nothing seemed to wanna drop!

Although I had 35 putts, I actually putted pretty good, 2 3 putts and a whole heap of 2 putts, a couple form extreme long range; have a new puttter which I am happy with.

Also a bit of bad luck, ball bouncing left instead of right on one hole meant I got a 5 instead of 3, bad bounce putting me out of bounds...but then when you start poorly, luck just aint ever gonna fall your way...

Score - 84 (ave 78.5 +0.5)
GiR - 50.0% (ave 49.5% +0%)
Fairways - 40% (ave 45.4% -.4%)
Birdies - 1; conversion rate 11.1% (ave 21% -.9%)
Putts - 35 (ave 34 +0)
Up/d - 22.2% (ave 33.2% -3.2%)
Sand saves - 0/1 (25% ave -8%)
Par 3;- +1 (ave +1.2 -.8)
Par 4;- +10 (ave +6.6 +.6)
Par 5; +1 (ave +1.4 -.6)

Thought it was about time I updated this....

After having a period from July through to late September of absolute shite golf (handicap went out 4 shots) things have started to get back to normal, although having played in a few tournaments recently, playing off a 9 handicap is absolutely wonderful (especially in a 4 round matchplay one where I was getting shots - lost on 2nd last hole of the final) my prize cupboard is getting fed!!

Score - ave score 80.3
GiR - 46.3%
Fairways - 44.6%
Birdies - conversion rate 18.3% (50 birdies in 30 rounds, plus about 7 eagles)
Putts - 33.2 (still 4 too high)
Up/d - 36.1%
Sand saves - 22.7%
Par 3;- +1.5
Par 4;- +6.8
Par 5; +1.3

    after 2 more rounds....86 & 76

Score - ave score 80.3 = 80.3
GiR - 46.3% to 45.5%
Fairways - 44.6% to 43.4%
Birdies - conversion rate 18.3% to 19.5%
Putts - 33.2 (still 4 too high) to 33.1
Up/d - 36.1% to 37.8%
Sand saves - 22.7% = 22.7%
Par 3;- +1.5 = +1.5
Par 4;- +6.8 = +6.9
Par 5; +1.3 = +1.2

After a horror start yesterday (being 5 over after 5 holes) managed to claw my way back to 3 over with 5 to go, only to blow 3 birdie chances in a row and turn them into bogies!! Holed 2 big putts for birdies, but missed 4 putts inside 7ft for birdies too in my best putting effort in months (29) yesterday.
