god i was so disappointed when i read this story. Steyn is one of my all time favourite players. And this? This is fuuucking pathetic

yes Dale, you are woke as fuck. Look at you , standing up for the oppressed.

Jesus H Christ, Dale, get a fucking haircut, you look ridiculous.

Serious question .... what is woke about a joke about long hair???

I cannot see a single thing wrong, from any point of view, with what Doull said! Agree it’s disappointing, Steyn is a dead set legend.

no, nothing, nothing at all. But a joke about long hair turned in to Dale lumping himself in with those suffering homophobia, racism and any other form of modern oppression you care to name.

It was a inoffensive as a throwaway line can be.

    You're clearly ageist.

    Sorry: 'your'.

Dale got all shirty when Wags was hitting him all over the place too. Came up with a terrible "sledge" about batting with the team captain (Kane was at the other end). A "be responsible" type thing. He might as well have said "would you stop that" as Wags knocked it out of the park again.

It is very amusing to those with a sense of humour to watch those without one.

It's a great way to respond to a very minor insult, isn't it.

Imagine someone having a crack at you about wearing a poorly ironed shirt at work, and you responding with "I have no time for people who mock others on the basis of race, gender, sexuality or the quality of their ironing".

Instantly makes an innocent sledge seem absolutely horrific. I'm using it today.

Steyn must have been so easy to sledge during his Proteas days. Wonder if he has many like minded team mates.... would help to explain South Africa's many Cricket World Cup semi final disasters.

Well, to be fair if Steve Waugh told me I’d dropped the World Cup I’m not sure I’d ever get over that.

I preferred his "shut up mister ugly moustache" response. Pure gold.

    Subconcious?

The test of Warner / de Kock blow up.

I believe the Aussie close in fielders spent the entire innings of Markram harping on about his un-ironed shirt (whites).

According to Mike Haysman in Crossing The Line documentary on youtube.

I've got no time for people who make statements mocking someones race, gender, social life or sexuality.

It's hard to tell who is doing irony - except for Markram.
