    abort at 0.1 seconds!

Amazing that modern engines can just shut down after ignition. Remarkable.

@nta may be able to help, but the computer shut the engines down at 0.1 seconds as they were igniting. Seemed from comms that some parameters were out of range. Damn site cheaper to shut down than launch and explode 🙂

Just highlights quite how poorly engineered the Shuttle was, with solid fuel boosters ... once they get going , that's it you're on your way

... and it sounds like 25 minutes away from another launch attempt. The SpaceX channel is below - live stream apparently starting up in about 15 minutes

Love the way they have made them look so retro (that may not have been deliberate, but I keep expecting Ming the Merciless to show up).

    T-3 now.
Edit - oops. I think that was the previous one SN9.

Got to 10,000m without blowing up. That horizontal mode still looks so wrong.

I'd call that a pass too, given what they are trying to achieve and nobody has done this before.

i guess as a really hi level, if that was carrying people they would have been able to get out by now i would think so a great step forward

would have thought they would have got in their to prop it up but maybe just too heavy and they are just waiting for it to fall?
