    A rewatch of Taken 1, 2 and 3.

While the original is definitely the best of the three movies I also enjoy watching the other two as well. You either like the French-style camera shots/editing or not, and ignore some of the plot holes.

Forest Whitaker was a good addition to 3 but whoever cast Dougray Scott to replace the unavailable Xander Berkeley needs a slap. At least get an actor who looks older, is balding and grey-haired.

One of the best scenes in Taken 3 is the drama that Whitaker puts into biting into a bagel.

Shaft (2019). Sam L Jackson in all his muthafucken glory, action film with plenty of humour and swag. A nice easy profanity and violence laced action comedy. 3 slain drug King pins and out 3 mutherfucken generations of Shaft men

Watched RED and RED 2 last nite (insomnia). Fark, they are fun. Plus they have Helen Mirren...

Possibly a bigger deal if you're younger than 36...

    St Elmo's Fire

First time watching this, not sure how I'd not seen this until now.
Bit of a boring film to be honest and on paper I should love it based on the cast but I just didn't. Even the parts that were meant to be moving were just boring. It's basically a really shit episode of Friends, but not funny and not enjoyable.

1 and a half breakfast club actors out of 5 stupid group laughs.

It was terrible. My son had to watch Bogus Journey immediately after to “take away the pain”. I got the same feeling watching this as I did watching the latest Ghostbusters. Just a pointless, very badly written film that fails miserably to capture the magic of the originals. That robot and the daughters were particularly terrible. Death is always good value but even his scenes were overly long and unfunny. Alex Winter looked tired but was at least trying. Keanu looked more asleep than usual. Was barely even phoning it in.

What next? A remake of Wayne’s World?

would you put it past mike myers?

i didn;t mind the daughters if im honest, i think it almost could have been better if it was them finding out what their dads had told them was all true etc

the robot...was real bad, could have been funny bad if it had only been a short scene...but it was always there

have to say it was also a bit cringeworthy recasting the wives with noticeably younger actresses

Is Mike Meters desperate for attention? He must be richer than shit with the AP and Shrek franchises. Maybe he’ll come back if Dana Carvey is desperate for cash. Bet that’s the only reason Reeves made the latest abomination, ie to help out his costar who hasn’t worked in 20 years.

Didn’t notice the princesses. The actresses in Bogus Journey were different to the original ones anyway.

With the daughters it would have been much funnier if they were the opposite of B and T rather than unfunny semiretarded imitations. Just didn’t work, but can’t blame the actresses themselves for that.

@rancid-schnitzel yeah, at least when they re cast the last time they were still about the same age as reeves/winter....the new ones look 15-20 years younger, must just have been me
