Um just to let you know Wheeler is right now doing commentary of Japanese top league on Sky!

I hope that isn't in English with the Wheeler idea of a Japanese accent!

Edit: Do they take live calls from the public during commentary? I am happy to ring the Japanese league on air to complain about the foreign commentator called Joe Wheeler and his insensitive parody of a NZ accent!

I haven't read thru, dont care enough. Wheeler was like tight with , cant remember his name, Japanese halfback who was at Highlanders when both played there?

Not transferable, the 'humour' of boys teasing in house, to a public broadcast. Oh well, we'll survive.

That's pretty much the point though. If she's leading a callous assault on the ear drums, then she shouldn't have made it to commentary.

There's obviously heaps of us who would be better commentators.

I agree. What she says is good. The sound though, is horrendous.

Whilst I think his gag was about as funny as a wet fart in a crowded elevator the fact such a big deal has been made of it irks me considerably. Fucken cancel culture strikes again.

I thought that was really weird by Bernie, but I guess the difference may be that it is a ‘variety’ (random rugby chat) show so perhaps more risky humor may have a home there.

It was really fucking unfunny though.

I don’t think they have got rid of him. When I read it he was just being stood down, there was nothing about him being punted completely (unless they updated the story in the last 24 hours?)
