Decent Songs by Rubbish Bands

Pretty frikken self explanatory. Even the most ordinary bands in the world, like U2 for instance, have a couple of decent tracks somewhere
I'll start with what i would consider the two most maligned rock bands of the past (checks calendar) holy shit 25 years.
Creed fucking suck. Some of the most cringeworthy rock of the past 3 decades. Frontman is a douchebag of the highest order. But this song is not half fucking bad
But holy shit look at them. Just watching this video makes me hate them all over again. Just over the top 90s douchebaggery everywhere!!! Testify Scott. Good track but
Which brings me to a band that basically became a meme. Fuck you Nickleback. More interested in being successful than good (there is a massive difference) by your own fucking admission. Your music is god awful. Some of the cringiest lines i have ever heard.
Then there is this one. The first time i heard it was i think the first time i had heard them. The first time he goes "clicking his hands!" i was like holy shit this dude can sing. Then i heard the rest. Fuck it was rubbish.
Again. Look at them!! holy shit what a bunch of tryhard assholes. You deserve everything you get. And i am sure you cry yourselves to sleep on a bed made entirely of money.

to follow on, look at this zinger of a line from a review of Nickelback's album that the above track came from

Quite the Hot take, i must say.
Yes, they definitely have a pigeon hole into which they fit. I guess it is hard to move much, when it is stuffed full of money, so they're doing something right.

I gave U2's Achtung Baby a listen recently out of curiosity (Joshua Tree is the only album I like by them). God damn the production is some terrible try-hard shit. Utterly amateurish and miserable. The Fly is the only half decent song on the album.
The Edge discovered a wah wah pedal for that one, in other words yet another effect to try and cover up what an utterly ordinary guitarist he is.
I must confess to genuinely liking the title track for zooropa and two hearts beat as one is a good foot stomper so U2 aren’t a complete lost cause for me ( which I guess is the whole point of this thread )

There are definitely a gem or few on Zooropa. I only grew to appreciate them years later

Spacehog don't qualify because they are essentially a one hitter
I love In the Meantime, and i figured they should have been bigger based purely on that. Turns out lightening struck exactly once. The rest is very ordinary

Weezer are consistently excellent over a number of albums

Edge certainly isn't a technical guitarist but he creates soundscapes through his heavy use of effects. A bit like Andy Summers.
Also, Gerry Rafferty had other hit songs. You would love the bass in this song.
