@kruse an episode or two ago he was attacked......in the dark. About 30 seconds or so of black screen and zinging knife noises. How thrilling.

I really would like to hear the thoughts of somebody who watched the first 3, maybe 4?, episodes - and yeah - got the feeling that it was as boring as shit - and then skipped to the final episode of the season - and watched that.
Please do that, and report. You'll miss out on some great build-up, but it would be great to see the reaction.

Fuck it, why not. Careful though, I'm a wordsmith, so it could be quite a lengthy review.

@victor-meldrew Ep9 was great, and the final scene. I can't wait for next week.

Just watched it. Extra long episode - terrific.

Might just be the best space drama I've seen.

Worth finding a copy or someone on AppleTV.

Ep10 didn't pan out as I was expecting, but there was some dust in the room during a few scenes. And a little teaser about how S3 will unfold.

Was a bit bored and flicking through Netflix for something mindless to watch and happened on Black Lightning. The first DC African American superhero.

What can I say? There are actually some decent-ish actors in it, some very attractive people, some girl on girl action (more implied that tittilating) and some serious issues (cops shooting black guys). A decent bad guy or two. The main plot is of course pretty non-sensical, it's a superhero series FFS what does one expect? Fight scenes OK, but the SFX. Oh man the SFX. This was obviously last in line at budget time. It is laughable. And the main man's suit? Fuck me, straight out of Primark.

But, I can't stop watching it. I don't know why but I sit there watching it, despising myself.

I actually liked the fact it didn't play out as I thought it would and it wasn't all hunky-dory in the end, Def looking forward to Series 3.

Watched Ep1 of that Mare of Easttown last night with Kate Winslet.

This is going to be a slow burner. The vibe of the show reminds me of Sharp Objects.

anyone watching The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? (Disney)

Clips all look pretty good, and Marvel have a pretty good track record.

I have been watching some docos (C4 I think they are from) where Brit Levison Wood walks through various countries.

From Russia to Iran, Walking the Nile and Walking the HImilayas.

All really good, there is another in his series I havent seen yet, Walking the Americas.

I enjoyed it, more like the movies than Wandavision.

So series 1 through 5 of Line of Duty all had 6 eps. Thought I was just lining up for watching the big finale tonight only to realise half way through that the pricks had added a 7th this time around.

Don’t think so. It is BBC. I don’t know if Netflix has all the series but if so get into it. The series showing on TV1 is the latest (and presumably last) but I don’t think they have shown any of the others. Huge audience in the UK in part because it has cliffhangers so interest gets wound up each week and more people get on board.
By the way NZ is two weeks behind so I am being very careful on spoilers.

I think some/many of us would agree that The Wire is the greatest TV show ever made. I didn't know that Felicia "Snoop" Pearson [Snoop is her real nickname] fwas a street kid, convicted murderer, and drug dealer who was recruited by Michael Williams (Omar) when he met her in a club. Crazy fucking story hearing her talk about her life.

Now a free woman, Felicia “Snoop” Pearson heads to L.A. pursue her dream

To rebuild her life, Felicia “Snoop” Pearson had to destroy her reputation. The actress who portrayed a cold-blooded killer so memorably on three seasons of the HBO cable series “…

@crucial Netflix has 5 seasons, which based on your post earlier, is all of them, I expect it is a recent addition as I had never seen it on there before.

Nepia is right, Falcom & Winter Soldier is like a long (good) Marvel movie. I'd give Wandavision a shot though if you like Marvel movies. The trapped in a TV sitcom part is just laying the groundwork for a pretty heavy storyline (for Marvel). Sort of the Marvel version of Afterlife, a look at grief.

It's nice to see them take a chance with some of their creative decisions.

Yeah - 100% agree with all of this.

Falcon & Winter Soldier - just a Marvel movie stretched out to 300 minutes.

And yeah, the old-timey sitcom schtick of Wandavision is just some very extended groundwork. I really wasn't sure if I would be able to stick with it even halfway through the first episode, but then they started dropping clues that it wasn't just going to be a feel-good Bewitched remake with comic book characters. It's just that the clues are few-and-far between for the first couple of episodes... it's exquisite building of suspense for those who stick with it... but in this day-and-age, extremely risky. ("It said made by Marvel, where's the 'splosions!!!??? Fuck this, I'm off to re-watch American Gladiators")
