    Got to admit, I was hoping for that reaction, and expecting it really...

    Don't like to disappoint

    I'm sure that you never do.

    Your giffing is excellent.

    @catogrande

    Watched both S1 & S2. Enjoyed both.

    S2 - set in one of FDR's concentration camps for Japanese Americans - is slower and more of a ghost story but still damn good.

    Your Honor.

    Great premise, great lead (Brian Cranston), but poor writing and execution. Absolute crap ending. Waste of 10 hours of my life.

    Spoilers

    Absolutely crap ending as well.

    +1. His son was an annoying character. His Honor should have let the gangster kill him.

    I should not have clicked on this thread. Thanks on behalf of all of us in a different timezone.

    I will say that I don't expect some kind of perfect ending. Mercurio is great at writing complicated and convoluted plots but shit at endings.
    Remember that Bodyguard show?

    @stockcar86 to be fair...

    :::

    Pretty hard to see really how the ending could have matched up to the rest of it, but yeah that was about as lame as it could get.

    Somehow got on to watching a 50 year old classic in Gerry Anderson's 'UFO'. This was his first foray into complete live action instead of puppets although the actors may as well have strings. The sets, gadgets and vehicles are brilliant.
    Not a safe watch for anyone triggered by open misogyny. The female characters all get to wear figure hugging jumpsuits and are openly ogled by the 'bosses'. Some great hotness.

    Classic script. Senior male character openly checks out female's arse
    "You're new here" (said with lecherous look).
    "Yes".
    "You must have passed ALL the tests".
    "Yes".
    "I bet you did" (with hint of a wink).

    Episodes on youtube .

    That is not misogyny, surely.

    That would seem to be philogyny.

    Yes it would. The misogyny part comes later as the hot women are treated like they would faint at the prospect of doing their jobs.

    O.K. Being more of a philogynist myself, and it has hot women, I may just take a peak.

    I'll stop when the misogyny starts. Really I will.

    Having had a couple of days to digest it, I thought the ending was entirely plausible. Not what I’d hoped for, but I liked it.

    No. That is Wanda Ventham, mother of.....

    ..... Benedict Cumberbatch.

    And now you can't look at her without seeing his mug, your world is somehow diminished.
