I mean no one talks of the genocide of the Dwarves or Orcs (although I guess we all know some people that must surely be descendants?) we know the Elves are out there hiding in plain sight, they killed the last dragon.

Can someone who has read LOTR more recently than I have explain the “racism” he speaks of ?
Tolkien wrote it during a time when Britain was considerably whiter overall than it is now. How is that an issue ?
All the bad guys are black (orcs) or middeleastern ish (Easterlings etc), good guys are all white.

Are they in Tolkien's books? I don't recall those descriptions, but I read the books many years ago when people were people, and Orcs were Orcs. The last time I heard of it, the English racist rugby team (wearing white) were up against the good guys in black.

Wasn't saying it was you. Those, somewhat strange, views are clearly out there.
I don't recall Orcs being black (from the books) and east is a direction not a skin colour, but that's just me. Obviously those that have more time can find fault with everything.

How farked is the world when you look through a book about Orc's, Elves, Dragons, Warlocks, Balrogs, Rocs, Wargs, Ents etc and discuss racism!
