Is top left old whatshername from Goldfinger that Sean Connery slapped and rooted back into liking dick again and saving the free world ?

That was Honor Blackman. Was The Avengers girl before Diana Rigg and just as sexy.

Played one of the first strong female leads with intelligence, stunning looks, martial arts expertise and able to strip and clean an FN SLR in 5 minutes flat.

Saw her at Pizza Express about ten years ago (the day after seeing Barbara Bach at supper) and still a very striking woman aged 86!

Was there an inbred guy in the corner eating the chilli special and not sweating?

Saw him at Lords on the occasion of the biggest umpiring blunder in cricketing history.

    This was Haymarket branch.

    So not Woking then? 😉

I am seriously doubting your judgement for not only going to Pizza Express but going to the tourist central branch.

Next you'll be saying that you only went there because Nandos was full!

That was before my Nandos fling!

My colleague and I once got checked out by Cat Deely there...

Did she look somewhat surprised and a little revolted? I want to know if she's always like that or just with me.

Catching up on season five of Veep. Their writers are brilliant.

Re-watching and the writing is superb. This should've been more successful.

@Tim Star Trek TNG was always my favourite, mainly because it would make me think about me being the filling in a 7 of 9/Deanna Troi sandwich.

It sounds ironic but I'm not convinced the Borg (past or present) like to share.

@victor-meldrew Ep9 was great, and the final scene. I can't wait for next week.

Just watched it. Extra long episode - terrific.

Might just be the best space drama I've seen.

Just watched it, that was a cracking finale. It was like an actual movie.

Also, the Cold War stuff in this show reminds me of The Americans (which I consider to be the best drama of the past 10 years).

There was one dud scene for me:

    :::

I think the whole gun stand off on Pathfinder was a bridge too far. There was already enough drama going on and that seemed as contrived as all the different times they make Johnny and Daniel fall out on Cobra Kai.

    :::

But, that didn't ruin it for me.

Ron Moore knows his space drama.

My only complaint on the finale was that scene which was a bit unnecessary and we bit naff.

    Roll on S3

Yeah. it's real good. Winslet is brilliant, but there's something about it which gives me a nagging feeling I've seen this before.

Have you seen True Detective? Recommended.

    Yes
    Loved True Detective

Familiar tropes as they say, but good acting, casting and pacing so far

Don't watch TV on your exercise bike, Handmaid's ruined my work out but it's a price I'll pay, not an episode goes by that I don't cry. Oh my days I wish I could spoil it for you all!!

I started S2 of For all Mankind (3 eps in I think) moving along nicely!

Upto date on Mare of Eastown, good show!

    Mare is mental!

@Victor-Meldrew yeah plenty of shows with similar formula, so far the execution has been good though.

Did you watch the US version of The Killing? The one with Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman? That's what I keep thinking of.

It's more the generic lone sheriff or lawman/serial killer/town with dark secrets/bodies in streams or old houses thing. Incredibly well done though.

so, had my knee surgery last week so dones just a little tv watching in the last week

Handmaids Tale - great, there are lots of great tv series so not going to say its "the best" or anything, but the standard is continuously high, complicated characters you love/hate/sympathise with, hope it wraps up this year and it will just be an awesome four seasons, don’t risk dragging it out

Utopia - obviously know about it but never sat down and watched...its basically my job, cuts very close to the bone, very little is exaggerated for laughs
