i'm hoping they dont string it out too long, even one long season just explaining whatever is special about omega, getting crosshair back, a couple of fun side quests and then either into hiding or....

I have to say i didn't actually mind Omega, the actress is a kiwi, shes obviously playing it up, making it childish, its cool to see something different to american or english, i like that they havent tried to recon Tem as the cones/boba/jango

For continuity sake I wish they had !

I actually thought the clone troopers sounded like someone emulating Tem but not overdoing it.
The same voice actor does all of Bad Batch characters as well. He is apparently the most prolific voice actor around. Pretty sure that he would have based his version on that of Tem.

Is it the same guy who voiced them in Clone Wars?

Not sure. Could look it up I suppose.
Edit: yes he did the clone troopers in Clone Wars. Also the Frog Lady in Mando
I watched a video on him about doing the various voices and thought he was a saffa. He isn’t though and I think he has developed a slight saffa accent trying to do a kiwi one.
It was noticeable at times in episode 2.

Turned saffa while trying to be a kiwi? That's an unfortunate outcome

Not an unusual one for people doing accents though. It’s only a tinge and probably only noticed by kiwis.

Never heard that one before. I remember years ago holidaying in the US the locals mistook us for English due to our accents

Second episode of the bad batch and it really bored me which isn’t a good sign. Best bits to me were the little SW noises ( ships, aliens, droids etc ) but I suspect the show itself is gonna get tired really fast.

I think I saw the trailer. Are they fighting for the Empire?

I won't go that far just yet.
Yeah Ep2 was a bit slow but this is still establishment phase. They have to show why Hunter has 'adopted' Omega and will let her continue on with them.

Yeah, ep 2 not my fav but it was clear what they were trying to establish, think it would have stood out if we’d been able to binge

Jury is still out and obviously it gets massive leeway for being Star Wars so I’ll stay the course for longer.

Happy to report that episode three was considerably better and had some real promise.

It’s still a cartoon though which irks me.

@mn5 yeah, moving a bit slow which makes it feel more like theyre going to have a story running over multiple seasons

i hope theyre not oblivious to the fact that with Clone wars they could bounce around different groups of characters, Ahsoka, obi wan and anakin often all had completely different story arcs plus any number of other jedi or even baddies, Maul/savage had their own multiple episode arcs

concentrating on one group with cuts to crosshair feels like they need to get them "right" a lot more often

Yeah I think there’s only so much of a story these misfit clones can have. We definitely need cameos from more established characters to keep it fresh and interesting. Tarkin didn’t annoy me so much this time which is good.

@mn5 thats kind of why i wondered the other week if this might be a limited run, just telling the one story of what happened to them after order 66. i kinda wonder if were going to get a "rogue one" ended for these guys...currently i cant see them just putting down weapons and hiding from the empire, but maybe thats what theyre going to explain

Oh they’re all history, no doubt about it. I fully expect a Blakes 7 ending with considerably better acting and special effects.
