Does anyone know what Franks form has been like in England? What about Birds form in France?

@duluth From what I've heard and the little bit that I've seen, Bird has gone really well in France. He's practically always on the Racing 92 team sheet; this last season almost always as a starter. Can't really say more than that.

I’m no expert but I’d say at a guess scrumming well and doing fuck all else.

Owen Franks!? oh hell yeah. As much for what he'll teach our young crop of props about professionalism as his onfield offerings.

I’ve watched a few games involving racing. Bird has been very decent.

@duluth it was Northampton I was watching on Saturday and I remember watching their scrum get mullered and thinking about when I last watched them years ago and their forwards were dominant and scary, not getting chewed up.

            So hopefully Franks wasn't playing.

Not surprised. Typical for the Hurricanes to sign a Wellington puppy withouth NPC experience on a mulit-year deal. Surprised it is only for 3 years.

How long was Hickey signed for? Is he a "one and done" who never played?

@stargazer Great signing IMO, looks to have a good head on his young shoulders. Hopefully Riley Higgins and Harry Godfrey are next.

In Love, Morgan, Higgins and Godfrey, there is a good young group of skillful and thinking backs coming through. Just what we need IMO.

I don’t mind it to be honest....I’d rather have you know who that seems to be blacklisted but he’s probably the better of what we realistically can get does that mean JGB is going to get another 2 year deal?

Great that Franks and Bird have seen the error of their ways after their years with the Sith. Hoping that Sam Whitelock and Scott Barrett might walk into the Yellow and Black light.

                                          1 year deal.

Great that Franks and Bird have seen the error of their ways after their years with the Sith. Hoping that Sam Whitelock and Scott Barrett might walk into the Yellow and Black light.

Owen Franks didn’t have a great time of it at Northampton.

@pakman He did okay in his first season there. Northampton made the Quarter Finals of the European Cup. By his admission he was struggling for form and to adapt to English scrums.

He's mostly been injured this season. I am rather surprised that he's not hanged up his boots.
