    Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet

    An Apple offering set in the office of the biggest online RPG.

    Watched a couple of eps, looks like it could be a decent time filler (25 min eps)

    I'm just watching this now - I just assumed it was an actual fantasy show and not about a gaming company so avoided it initially.

    I think it's great and I think the history of a game episode was brilliant, with that and the final episode of For All Mankind (excluding the one scene already mentioned) AppleTV + are knocking it out of the park.

    Had a look at Mosquito Coast yet?

    AppleTV+ seem to be aiming for quality over quantity. FAM and Ted Lasso two of the best shows around at the moment.

    Not yet, only just noticed it the other day - is it based on the movie?

    Yep, agree on the quality over quantity. But I wonder if there's enough content there for when everyone's free accounts run out?

    Movie was based on a book and TV show the same source.

    I think the idea with ATV+ is to mainly serve those with Apple Accounts. The whole one sub thing for storage/music/TV will absorb it as just a service.
    That doesn't help for non Apple users but I suspect they aren't the target market. ATV+ combines the old movies/tv store so you can just watch a ppv without much thought.

    Apple have continued to extend my AppleTV+ subscription too. I can't say I've looked too closely at everything on there but there has been enough quality free content to interest me.

    The way they used AppleTV+ as the gateway to the store pissed me off at the start, now that they allow you to go straight to the ATV+ section it's much better. I don't use any of the rest of it despite being an apple user.

    I'm about to purchase some Apple products before I holiday in NZ, I wonder if you can still get the free years sub even if you're already on one?

    @bovidae fingers pointing all over the show

    Two eps to go I think.

    :::

    The brother of the best friend's husband (uncle? to the murdered girl) is the current obvious suspect, and possibly a red herring, due to his quick departure from the house when his story slipped. Could just be that he was covering for his brother who having an affair though.
    Motive for the teens to be destroying the journals needs to be cleared and I suspect the girl has just found out the identity of the real father.
    What has happened to Guy Pearce? Is he just a background character or someone we don't completely know about yet?
    Here's hoping that the who-dunnit part is a believable outcome and not too much of a twist.

    :::

    Agree, really well put together and cant wait for final two episodes

    :::

    Ok weird, when I open your spoiler it just repeats what's above the spoiler. Quote you to mock you and it's something completely different! But yeah she definitely did ...

    Finished Wellington Paranormal 😞 I'd had reports of it getting worse across the seasons, but I found it still as entertaining right up to the end of S3, Minogue is fucken brilliant.

    Anyway, I tended to watch a bit in the morning over brekky, for a laugh before kicking off work, so needed something to replace it.

    Have stumbled upon Urban Myths which, one and a half episodes in is proving pretty fun, bit of a giggle here and there but probably not exactly hilarious.

    Urban Myths (TV Series 2017–2020) ⭐ 7.2 | Adventure, Biography, Comedy

    Urban Myths (TV Series 2017–2020) ⭐ 7.2 | Adventure, Biography, Comedy

    22m

    1st Episode was about when Bob Dylan visited Eurythmics Dave, 2nd episode is about Samuel Beckett meeting Adnre the Giant, etc....

    He’s good commentating the cricket too.

    Andre the Giant yarns are good value. I’m assuming this one involves drinking lots ?

    @mariner4life Ted Lasso is brilliant, could so easily have been cheesy AF, but just nailed it.

    @Crucial I watched ep1 of Mosquito Coast, def worth looking further @Nepia the synopsis makes me think it is based on the Harrison Ford Movie, didnt look too much further to avoid spoilers.

    I just watch Lasso to see what the fuss was about. Watched the whole thing in two days.

    Far better than the premise has any right to be. Looking forward to the next season.

    I'm just rewatching Sandbaggers - up to series 3. That has really stood the test of time, especially considering it was made 33 years ago - still the best spy tv program I've seen. Will definitely watch The Bureau

    Agreed. Based on the reviews here I watched it last night. Much, much better than I thought it would be. Jason Sudeikis plays those types of roles very well.

    no chance

    for the reasons i already said, and also

    i watch 2-3 hours of TV a week, it's got to be real fucking good to catch the attention. and also, if it's already too long, i am not gonna say yes.
