    @victor-meldrew your looking at the stuff he WAS known for. For the last 10 odd years he's being doing straight video stuff. He's has the odd but like Looper. But then it's absolute shit. I'm mean Steven Seagal type shit. I'm mean in that preview I just posted the villain was called the Pardoner ffs 😂

    And don't get me wrong. The greatest Xmas movie ever made is Die Hard. I love that shit up until the 3rd one. He's excellent in Pulp Fiction and I unfortunately have a guilty pleasure in that absolute shit show The Hudson Hawk.

    But even Sylvester Stallone had a gripe with Willis effort during the Expendables series.

    Circa 2000-2010 he was on fire

    Unbreakable; Bandits; Hart's War; Tear of the Sun; Hostage; Sin City; Alpha Dog; Lucky Number Slevin; 16 Blocks; Perfect Stranger; Surrogates; Red

    Circa 2011-2021, not so much but still some good performances in good films

    Moonrise Kingdom; Looper; Red 2; Death Wish; Glass; Motherless Brooklyn;

    And he has comedy timing, which could be hardest to pull off of the lot.

    I think Bruce Willis is really underrated as an actor. He's incredibly versatile and consistently good - considering the stuff he's done, there's very few turkeys.

    Wasn't Hudson hawk known as Hudson Turkey?

    Ok that's only one example, but it's a bloody good one.

    @catogrande That's the biggie.

    Mind you, Olivier did The Betsy & The Jazz Singer and there's Di Niro's Dirty Grandpa to prove Willis is up there with those two - at least in the Turkey stakes.

    Dear, dear Larry is the turkey king. He’s certainly done more duds than his rep would have you believe. All with a slice of the thickest ham. I honestly struggle to think of a good one he’s done save for Marathon Man and his Hitchcock connection.

    He was pretty open that he did a load of films for the cash but when he wanted to, he was brilliant.

    Try Henry V. The St Crispins Day speech send goosebumps up your back. And he directed it, produced it and did all his own stunts. And won a special Oscar for it. Single-handedly made Shakespeare accessible & cool to cinema audiences

    Sleuth & Sparticus were pretty decent as well

    @victor-meldrew To be honest I found Henry V to be far too jingoistic and hammy, the speech did nothing for me. Sleuth was great though and I grant you he was good in Spartacus and his Hugh Dowding in Battle of Britain was pretty good too. But then, then...

    The Merchant of Venice
    Khartoum
    Othello
    The Prince and the Showgirl
    Richard III

    More misses than hits IMO, especially when you consider his rep as the greatest actoooor ever.

    Richard III

    Terrific film. Not up there with his 1955 Hamlet but still great.

    Not the greatest film actor (pretty damn close when he wanted to be), but when you add in his TV and stage stuff, and his courage to take risks and go off-piste with playwrights like John Osbourne, you can see why his peers called him that.

    Army of the dead. Snyder wins again. Excellent bit of pulpy escapism. I think Batista may be he best acting wrestler.

    Was pretty fun. Batista is pretty damn good actor, does this stuff better than even someone like Bruce Willis. When Bruce cried in Armageddon audiences straight up laughed, in this movie Batista nails the emotional scenes.

    Apparently he’s trying to get a Gears of War movie off the ground. Perfect casting.

    He's got this vulnerability about him. It's pretty amazing that someone so big can convey real helplessness.

    @MN5 Bruce has been dialling it in for 2 decades.

    Liam hasn't been the same since his wife died. Not that his acting ability has suffered. Just doesn't seem to give a shit. He knows his pay cheques write themselves as a cold, stone faced secret agent.

    All fair points.

    I don’t think it’s a coincidence that JT and BWs best roles respectively were in the same movie. Tarantino really does bring out every ounce of talent in his actors.

    You just want to see what the deviants are up to don't you?
    The Eternals were created by the Celestials, God-like creatures who also introduced an evil counterpart to the Eternals: The Deviants.

    It does look like a bit of fun. Salma AND Ang for starters, throw in some deviants...
