Fingers are pointing to Billy, while John sits on the sidelines, and John is gonna shoot Billy, probably try make it look like suicide, overcome with grief kinda thing given he was quick to tell his wife Billy confessed, and she wasnt to tell Mare, knowing she would.

Then there is the ex-boyfriend too, he is still hiding something.

    Spoiler Text

:::A whole episode is too long to 'chase/catch/kill' Billy

    There's more afoot

I think John is the father and Billy was covering for him.

i absolutely suck at finding something to watch. i flicked through about 20 shows last night on 3 different platforms and decided on...

turning the TV off and reading my book

Know the feeling. I have a media server with a large library of good stuff I've collected over the years and Mrs Meldrew and I often revert to that.

But I've been reading one of Paul Thomas's Tito Ihaka novels and that has taken over from TV for the few days.

Bosch... I struggled through S1... not sure why, I just found it super boring.
So... I keep wondering, considering the love it gets here -
am I likely to enjoy later seasons more, or should I just write it off as "didn't click, don't try forcing it" ?

@kruse I think you just like it or dont, I have tried a few times to get into The Wire (trigger alert @Nepia ) yet just wasnt my thing, yet so many rate it as one of the very things ever.

Yeah - that's the obvious one... but I keep wondering... is it that obvious? The scene of the "confession" did seem super weird, it seemed obvious that it was "out of context" footage - and more the 1 fella agreeing to take the blame, rather than a genuine confession. But... blood. Fuck.
And what the fuck's up with the young dick suddenly being super dodgy? Pretty sure it'll be unrelated to the main mystery, but still...

BTW - all you pricks talking about this with all your Spoilers, I had to go and binge it over two nights so that I could be "in the know"... and now I suddenly have to wait an age to get that final bit.

Cheers - I might give S2 a go, trying super hard to not have preconceptions (impossible, I know) - but won't feel too guilty if I give up on it.

@kruse I can't see if you didn't like S1 how S2 would appeal any more.

Given your movie reviews it's actually a bit of a relief TBH...

I see there is a new season (one off) of Dexter being produced, hopefully it re-captures some of what made it so good in S1 & 2.

    Alerted. 🔫

I guess my version of The Wire is Breaking Bad - although I do like it, I just don’t think it’s as awesome as others think it is.

Edit: Didn’t realise this was in a discussion about Bosch. I’m like @Kruse i watched the first season and I didn’t enjoy it enough to watch a second. Weird seeing Marlo (The Wire reference) as a good guy too.

Even better second time round in my opinion. I’m loving binging it again.

Are you watching Series 4 online?

As expected there was one final twist in Mare Of Easttown but the final episode was all about Mare's journey. A perfect ending really.

@bovidae I only had one thing that I may have missed...

    :::

When the boy was explaining what happened, he said he returned the gun the same night, but for this to happen the old fella doesnt even notice it missing?

Or did I mis hear and he took it back days later? Or did the old fella just know that it had been taken (given 2 rounds out of chamber) and said he noticed it missing?
