I met Jodie Kidd at a polo event in Cardiff
Lovely woman, no airs or graces, but in real life the symmetry of her face made Picasso look like a documentary painter.

I've only met 2 or 3 celebs and all of them seemed down to earth and pretty normal - guess they probably enjoy talking to normal people as well.

Especially if you treat them normally

Depends, I think from what I’ve seen the genuine superstars who have nothing to prove are GCs. the C listers, ex Shortland Street stars, some pro sportsmen etc can be complete cocks.

Does catching Jennifer Aniston checking out my arse when queueing behind me at Shutters hotel reception ten years ago count?

    Jennifer Anniston wouldn’t do queues

OK, It was just her standing behind me. When I turned and saw what she was up to she did a huge double blink!

How many times since then have you thought about what you would say if something like this happens again?

Catherine Zeta Jones circa Entrapment was way hawt

Have a mate who has met her and is strangely unimpressed. Reckons that in the flesh she isn't all that, but agrees that she looks amazing on screen, and very photogenic. He could just be a fussy prick of course.

I bet there are lots of celebs who don't look nearly as good in real life without all the pro makeup and air brushing. Elle is not one of them. My sister met her in passing at Paris airport, said she was taller and skinnier than she expected. Ended up coincidentally sitting behind her in business on the same flight. It smells the hair.....

Beguiling for it though, and I guess that was her appeal in the modelling world.

Not a Jodie, but had a good chat on plane with William Defoe. Good bloke. Loves Kiwis. Big rap for Two Paddocks Pinot. Was reading script by Taika. Recommended Eagle vs Shark??? Seems hedge funds are major factor now in funding big movies.

Mr's M's uncle is a Purser for British Airways who looks after First Class and he'd pretty much agree. Many A-listers just want to be left alone as they are knackered but almost all make a point of thanking the crew for doing just that.

Has met most of the top slebs but Roger Moore is his favourite - always had time to chat to the cabin crew and was the nicest bloke he's met.

Yep. My cousin is a very famous NZ sportswoman and drop dead gorgeous in her playing career. She really hated the sex-symbol stuff and the come-ons were pretty awful. Used to stay at our home rather than hotels to avoid the crap.

And maybe a bit of a guilty pleasure but you just know Sally Phillips is going to leave you retarded.

Jesus... Sally Phillips. I don't even know what she's from, or why she's famous... but in my list of "Every Taskmaster season has a female who I'm inordinately attracted to" - she's at the top.

1979 vintage Debbie Harry. Saw her in London that year and to this day still the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in real life.
    > Joanna Lumley
    Sarah Michelle Gellar
    Reese Witherspoon

I've actually had dinner with Joanna Lumley. As genuinely lovely as she is beautiful looking - really warm, charming and down to earth.

Not a bad yarn but it’s pretty tough to beat a quartet of Jerome Kaino, Liam Squire, Joe Moody and Damien McKenzie

Yeah - I remember that, happened in Wellington. It was even reported here at Seven Gold Coast Nightly News on August 26, 2016. They interviewed a local bloke named jegga - he said:

"I'm just up the road ... Andrew Mehrtens is in the cafe ... F... this is a prime stalking spot Jerome Kaino , Damien Mackenzie and that flanker from the highlanders are checking out the menu"
