Well to be fair he did look like he was molesting her on stage. Perhaps that put paid to that idea. I'd also imagine all the grease marks he left on stage were a serious hazard to the rest of the band.

It's glorious. It's obviously Indiana Jones week. In the last 3 nights I've watched Raiders, Temple of Doom, and tonight the Last Crusade (think I'll be busy tomorrow).

Arguably the best trilogy ever.

While Raiders is probably my 2nd favourite movie ever, they're all awesome. Last Crusade has some great lines

Magic Mike XXL - some great choreography, especially the end scenes, but not half as good as the first movie. There's just no plot, and fun as some of the events are, it's not sustainable for an entire feature length film. Some of the dialogue is terrible/cringey too, but nice chests and abs to look at.

The Dark Horse - Cliff Curtis really is excellent, and holds the whole movie together. There are some sweet moments, and refreshingly for a NZ movie, there were only a few places where I winced at the dialogue or acting. But it's not a flick I would watch again.

Was surprised Connery didn't play someone a bit tougher. I'd like to forget Crystal Skulls but it's there so unfortunately we can't call it a trilogy.

Brilliant series, might have to re watch over the school holidays with the boys. Are you doing it with the little Mariners ? one thing I have noticed is despite it being a series I watched as a kid it does have some pretty gruesome deaths at times. Also Indy never really takes out the head bad guys, the only time he ( arguably ) did was when he let Mola Ram fall to his death, the other times something other worldly did the job for him.....

If anyone can find a more entertaining punch up than this I'd like to see it. Pat Roach played four different parts in the first three flicks.....

A good hand to hand fight can make a film sometimes, almost a shame his character didn't have more build up but I guess the flipside is he's just a regular German soldier who happens to be tough as fuck and gives our hero a fucken hiding.....

My boys are 7 and 10 and they loved Last Crusade. But I'm a bit concerned about Ark and Temple. That final scene in Ark is pretty shocking and Temple is dark and violent.

Great films but I can't believe they're making a new one. As if Skulls wasn't shit enough.

I've tried with the mini-mariners, but i think they were a bit little at that point. I think mini-mariner the first could watch it, but not sure of the 2nd? And also, Temple of Doom is probably not a kids movie. Or you distract them when old mate gets his heart pulled out.

But they sure know how to chant "Mola Ram, shiva Ram" while i say shit like "kali ma shakthi dey!" while making meatballs. Their mother married someone easily amused.

I don't reckon Skulls was totally shit as such, my main issue was his son. That bloke with the stupid name is one of my all time hatiest actors, seriously, I just fucken hate him. That and Cate Blanchett ( you know how some women say "aw gosh she is SOOOOOO beautiful" but there isn't a single bloke on earth who agrees ? Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kindman have that in spades ) if they'd recast her character with someone actually genuinely hot and recast his son with, well, anyone then I think it would have worked much better. Another classic tough guy henchman, some great lines, great locations.......and Harrison was even grumpier and more world weary.....there's still a lot to like.

In conclusion it should have been heaps better......but even then would not be a patch on the first three.

Ha, Mariner my youngest ( 6 on Sunday ) is great at busting out the nonsensical chanting during temple, but I do have the fast forward button ready for the "heart" scene. I re enact the above fight scene with both of them ( raising my fists and telling them to get down and fight ) at the playground, I always give them a damn good hiding but luckily for them the imaginary propeller blade saves them every time. I still get weird ( er ) looks by the other parents.....

I would have respected Indy more if he actually knocked the big fella into the blade but at least his flurry of punches got the claret flowing.
