    @machpants ..you win some you lose some , on saying that you would be naive to think that his agent was negotiating with another franchise..

    I personally appreciate it when you guys share some of the stuff you’ve heard, whether it turns out or not, because it gives us a peek into the ‘real’ world that you guys negotiate - and something for us to talk (bitch) about.

    @gt12 second that. That's why I joined the fern. Somehow stumbled across it when searching for Chiefs signing rumours in 2018.

      @gt12 much of my information comes through coaches that are close to the scene or fathers of players and in some cases the coaches themselves or in the case of Jordie Barrett a tip someone in the media who mentioned to me that Jordies agent was negotiating with a couple of franchises which happened to be both the Chiefs and the Canes but more likely the Chiefs ..aaahhh wrong ..!..Anyway I reckon this forum is the best place for getting potential player movements ..
      There are some stories I actually sit on out of respect to the individual or the team , some of it not good .

        i for one am happy we didn't sign Jordie as it would be very hard to walk back from years of posting to praise him running around in the Chiefs jersey next year.

          I'd have enjoyed it because we could then directly compare he and Dmac's terrible respective decision making on an objective basis.

            Glad they did not sign Jordie. Should be making full efforts to re-sign Dmac.

                    @arhs

                    The Chiefs Rugby Club’s Kotahitanga award for Outstanding Contribution was awarded to Paul Galletta for his outstanding commitment and work ethic he has demonstrated for the Club. Galletta, the Gallagher Chiefs Assistant Manager, delivered over and above his job description and was credited as the worthy recipient of the award. “Paul, or to most known as Shaver, has been immense for the club. His hard work behind the scenes has not gone unnoticed and this award is recognition of his commitment to his job.”

                                I was only listing 3 key players mentioned in the season review, the other being Weber.

                                I would expect Harris and Lowe to be retained. Mafileo signed a 2-yr deal.

                                    Am hoping next season we pick a big fast winger maybe narawa or taniela telea from the blues we really struggled to score tries despite performing relatively well, also a hooker that is abit accurate I wonder if we have a spot for finau

                                      With NZR or the Chiefs? As I recall it, he signed a two-year contract, served one year in the Blues squad and the second with the Chiefs.

                                        @Tim Harris will need a full NPC of rugby so will need to share minutes with Eklund.

                                        I can't see another experienced hooker in the region to take his place. Ioane Moananu and Bernie Hati from the U20s are still too green.

                                          I was only listing 3 key players mentioned in the season review, the other being Weber.

                                          I would expect Harris and Lowe to be retained. Mafileo signed a 2-yr deal.

                                          With NZR or the Chiefs? As I recall it, he signed a two-year contract, served one year in the Blues squad and the second with the Chiefs.

                                          @stargazer Chiefs according to this.

                                          After six seasons with the Auckland team, an opportunity presented itself for Mafileo to move south, in what was a virtual swap with All Black Nepo Laulala, and he signed a two-year deal at a Chiefs club where his younger brother, Tevita, had played as an injury replacement in 2019.
