Strange signing is Gibson imo, unless someone is leaving?
@african-monkey that’s the only way he gets a contract IMO. I wonder how accurate this Gibson source is? Seems like a very odd signing, but I wouldn’t count it out with the selections we’ve made previously.

@tim ffs I actually have no faith in these coaches / selectors. Bunch of morons the lot of them. How many games do we need to watch as fans before these idiots realise we need a bigger pack to compete. Completely f@&king delusional.

I’m surprised he is t turning out in a seven’s team right now. Perhaps next year? He’d be a very valuable player in the lighter/faster/weaker Top League.

@gt12 Yeah he would. A lot more freedom to run and no real emphasis on work jn the tight.

@stargazer At least Thompson is, nominally, a Wellington player now so that would count in his favour. He would have no show if he was still up in Napier.
