If anyone wants a laugh on Facebook go onto the ESPN cricinfo page the comments section has the Indian Fans having a sulk saying it’s fixed and the ICC don’t want them to win 😂

I guess it’s up there with all the BCCI conspiracies…oh wait hang on…

A good session but India have runs in the board, and they'll back themselves to run through us as well. Test is really in the balance still.

Top order will have to stand up. Need serious contributions from at least 3 of the top 5. Kane needs to deliver. Rahane looked comfortable, we just need to apply ourselves

    That is dead plumb

I thought so. Height? Sliding down?

    looks OK

    It was definitely reviewable though.

Definitely - when you're Virat Kohli.

Shane Watson, not so much.... 🙂

Everything is reviewable in Shane’s eyes.

Just watching a replay of Rahane’s dismissal and that was baffling stuff from a guy that was playing an almost flawless innings to that point.

Wags is surely going to pop a vein in his neck this test 😉

Looks like Kyle is warming up. I'm glad Kane has made this move, should have done it sooner. Now get Wags in at the other end

Wish the commentators would use technology to shut the fuck up in the background

    All out for 217.

Now the fun really starts with us facing Bumrah.

Basically lunch on day 2. Plenty of time, get in and try to bat once.

The comms said that Kyle Jamieson has the 3rd lowest bowling average all time for test bowlers with a minimum of 15 innings(?). The top two guys bowled in the 1800s

That bowling effort really shows what a special side this is (for NZ). They played the entire innings in an absolute war of attrition and India were the ones to blink.

Early returns from the Indian opening bowlers maybe hint they are struggling to find their length. The two tests England may be invaluable.

Weather in Southampton looking dire for rest of today and Monday. Better for Tuesday and Wednesday. Draw looks the most likely outcome.
