Philadelphia. Saw this with my mum at the movies when I was about 10. Watched it again last night. Gee it's a powerful movie and stands the test of time easily. Hanks and Washington put in huge performances. I think it's fair to say we don't get many movies of this quality anymore.

Decided to introduce the kids to Rocky this evening. Started with 3. Wasn't sure how they'd find it. The result? They headed straight into the garage and started doing circuits on my old boxing equipment. When I show them 4 they'll probably start trying to cut down trees. Am farking loving this.

Awesome. My son loved Creed which he saw at the cinema, so I'm going to have to unleash the back catalogue.

Was watching run of the mill sci-fi with the boy yesterday- Enders War. Imagine my surprise when Ben Kingsley turns up with full-on Kiwi accent and Maori tattoos. Probably his greatest acting challenge...

That was the worst attempt at an accent since Mel Gibson thought he was scots.

The original was on Sky over the weekend and I ended up watching most of it.

Forgot how good the soundtrack was, have they kept the same songs in the latest version? My favourite was king louie singing I wanna be like you

nah man, my 4 1/2 year old loved it. There's a couple of good jump scares in it, but it's not a scary movie at all, they'll just love the talking animals.

Sammy, imagine "i wanna be like you". And now imagine it being sung by Christopher Walken. Yes, it's as awesome as you imagine.

And "The Bear Necessities" is in there as well.

Anthony Hopkins wasn't too horrendous in the World's Fastest Indian. And apparently reviews said Keira Knightley did ok in the Everest movie.

The Woman in Gold. Austrian lady trying to get back paintings stolen from her family by the Nazis. Helen Mirren great as usual. Ryan Reynolds so-so. Katie Holmes cannot act, how the fuck she keeps getting parts, I don't know. Luckily her role was fairly minor.

Hers was ok, but there were a couple of absolutely shocking ones in that, that hers was spot on by comparison.
